Öğe Analysis of the self-efficacy of ice hockey referees(Univ Murcia, 2023) Aygun, Murat; Murathan, TalhaThe objective of this study was to analyse the self-efficacy of ice hockey referees and the factors that contribute to their self-efficacy. We used the quantitative study design (survey model). The study group included 97 ice hockey referees (26 females, 71 males) actively working in Erzurum, Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul Provinces. The Referee Self-Efficacy Scale (REFS) was used to measure the self-efficacy of the referees participating in the study. We used the Statistical Program for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for data analysis. A p-value of < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The results of our study showed that there was no statistically significant difference in the referee self -efficacy scale scores according to the gender and education level variables (p > 0.05), but there was a statistically significant difference in the communication sub-dimension of the referees in the age variable (in favour of athletes aged 22-24 years) (p = .025). A statistically significant difference was also found in the game knowledge (p =.013) and decision making sub-dimensions (p = .017) in the refereeing status variable, and also in the decision making (p = .025) and communication sub -dimensions (p = .033) in the referee region variable. There was a remarkable difference between the referees living in Kocaeli in terms of the region, while there was a significant difference between the referees living in Erzurum in the communication sub-dimension (p < 0.05). In conclusion, demographic variables are a determining factor in the self-efficacy of the referees, as well as the factors such as the referees' area of training, match experience, and referee experience.Öğe Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Dersine Yönelik Tutumlar Üzerine Yapılan Lisansüstü Tezlerin Bibliyometrik Analizi(2023) Öner, Burak; Murathan, TalhaBu çalışmanın amacı, beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlar üzerine gerçekleştirilen lisansüstü tezlerin bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelenmesidir. Bunun yanında en fazla tezin Gazi Üniversitesi bünyesinde yazıldığı, yüksek lisans tezlerinin doktora tezlerinden sayıca fazla olduğu görülmüştür.Öğe Emotional and Social Outcomes of the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility Model in Physical Education: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis(Mdpi, 2024) Aygun, Yalin; Boke, Hulusi; Yagin, Fatma Hilal; Tufekci, Sakir; Murathan, Talha; Gencay, Ertugrul; Prieto-Gonzalez, PabloContext: In today's ever-changing world, fostering personal and social responsibility is essential for building strong and compassionate communities. This study aimed to provide a quantitative synthesis focusing on the emotional and social outcomes of Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) model-based Physical Education (PE) programs. Methods: A comprehensive literature review covering the period from November 2022 to September 2023 identified 637 articles published between 2005 and 2023. Of these, 20 met the inclusion criteria. Data from these articles were coded, and a comprehensive meta-analysis was conducted, incorporating 28 effect sizes. Methodological quality was assessed using the Medical Education Research Study Quality Instrument. Hedge's g served as the effect size measure and emotional and social outcomes subgroups were consolidated. Heterogeneity was evaluated with Cochran's Q and I2. Meta-regression and ANOVA-like models addressed categorical moderators, whereas publication bias was assessed through funnel plot, failsafe number, and Egger's linear regression. Results: A significant and positive effect of the TPSR model on product outcomes (Hedge's g = 0.337, 95% CI = 0.199 to 0.476) was found. Despite considerable heterogeneity (I2 = 83.830), a random effects model was justified. Assessment of publication bias indicated a low likelihood. Moderator analyses revealed that publication countries significantly influenced the effect, with stronger effects in Turkey. Publication type (article vs. thesis) also played roles in moderation. The meta-regression analyses did not reveal significant effects for the grade level, duration of intervention, publication year or sample size on the TPSR model's impact on product outcomes. The TPSR model positively impacts emotional and social outcomes in PE, enhancing children' skills and behaviour. However, variations across cultures highlight the need for further research, considering limitations like language constraints and potential biases in study selection and data extraction.
