    To emphasize the importance of considering Bartter syndrome in the differential diagnosis of the patients with growth retardation and electrolyte imbalance. Subject: Classic Bartter syndrome is one of the factors leading growth and developmental retardation, characterized by hypokalemia, hypocloremia and metabolic alkalosis. A four-month-old boy was referred due to vomiting, electrolyte imbalance and growth retardation since his birth. Result: In cases hospitalized many times with false diagnoses due to lack of detailed anamnesis like in our case, rare diseases like Bartter syndrome should be born in mind as a likely cause of dehidratation and electrolyte imbalance.
