Her liver function tests were normal, and she had no evidence of chronic liver disease or history of significant trauma. Clinical and sonographic findings suggested the presence of a portal vein aneurysm associated with a hepatoportal arteriovenous fistula. Abdominal angiography confirmed the diagnosis.
