dc.description.abstract | The title compound, C22H20N2+center dot Br-center dot H2O, was synthesized from 1-benzylbenzimidazole and 2-bromoethylbenzene in dimethylformamide. The dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings is 70.6 ( 1)degrees. These phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 52.99 ( 9) and 83.03 ( 8)degrees with the benzimidazole ring system. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot Br and O-H center dot center dot center dot Br hydrogen-bond interactions. | en_US |
