dc.description.abstractHistoplasmosis, a disease endemic to North America, is caused by Histoplasma capsulatum. To the best of our knowledge, the chronic cavitary pulmonary histoplasmosis patient described here presents the first case in which the fungus was isolated from sputum culture in Turkey.en_US
