Özet
The object in the artist’s work as a tool of expression varies depending on the
conditions of the era, features of the art movement and the artist’s interpretation. The
chair, as an object, has been in the works of many artists and brought different
meanings to the work within the location throughout time. The selection of chair used
by the artists in their work, their approach to the chair brought about new
developments. The purpose of the study is to examine the approach to the chair with
the field in terms of the object concept in art education, in line with the artists’ works.
The study examines the process of modernization of artists’ interpretation of chair
from the 20th Century to present day as well as its reflections on art education,
contributing to art students in analyzing the object concept.
