Özet
Abstract:Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin demokrasiye yönelik tutumlarını cinsiyetlerine, kıdem yılına, mezun oldukları bölüme ve eğitim durumlarına göre incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, 2010-2011 öğretim yılında Diyarbakır merkezdeki genel liselerde görev yap an 234 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Veri top lama aracı olarak Demokrasiye Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi f ormu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular bir bütün olarak değerlendirildiğinde, öğretmenlerin genel olarak demokratik tutumlarının yüksek olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Ayrıca bayan öğretmenlerin ve mesleki kıdemi yüksek olan öğretmenlerin demokrasiye yönelik daha olumlu tutuma sahip oldukları görülmüştür.
Abstract:The main aim of this research is to determine teachers attitudes towards democracy in high schools and investigate whether these attitudes levels diff er or not, according their genders, length of service, graduation and educational status. The research has been conducted among 234 teachers in high schools in Diyarbakır in the 2010 2011 educational year. The Attitude Scale toward Democracy and a p ersonal collection f orm were used as a data collection tool. When these averages related to p ositive exp ressions are evaluated, it is p ossible to say that teachers attitudes related to democracy were generally p ositive in a high rate. In the obtained results, it has been f ound out that f emale teachers and teachers who have longer service have more p ositive attitudes towards democracy than others.
