Özet
The twenty-first century is marked by profound transformations in social, economic, political and technological spheres. Rapid advances in digital technologies continuously reshape everyday practices and organizational structures, creating new dynamics that individuals and societies must adapt to. The extent to which people possess the competencies required to navigate these changes has therefore become a key concern in contemporary research. In this context, digital literacy is seen as a crucial skill set that not only enables effective participation in digital environments, but also supports critical awareness of the opportunities and risks they entail. This study investigates the relationship between university students' digital literacy skills and their levels of cyberloafing. Adopting a correlational survey design, the research was conducted with students enrolled in the Faculty of Communication at In & ouml;n & uuml; University. While the population consisted of 1,216 students, the sample comprised 317 participants selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a Digital Literacy Scale adapted from instruments developed by Bayrakc & imath; and Narmanl & imath;o & gbreve;lu (2021) and De-Dios et al. (2016), and the Cyberloafing Scale developed by Sar & imath;tepeci and Sert. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The findings indicate a statistically significant and positive relationship between students' digital literacy and their cyberloafing behaviors.
