Like the two sides of a coin, religion appeals to both the individual and society. A connection between the sacred and the individual is established through religion. However, this is not limited to the personal world of the individual. As the individual is a social entity, this causes him to carry his experiences related to the Sacred into the social sphere. As the messages of religion are relevant to social life, this empowers its effect on the social structure. Religion is viewed either positively or negatively; philosophers are of the same opinion regarding its effect on society. When it comes to capitalism, while negative perspective moves from the mass narcotic effect of religion, others emphasize its role in the emergence of capitalism. There are two different views arising as to under the influence of which religion and religious intellect did capitalism occur. While Weber emphasizes Protestantism, Sombart claims that the actual effect comes from Judaism. In our article the mentioned effects will be analyzed by evaluation from critics and different dimensions.en_US
