Öğrenci görüşlerine göre imam hatip liselerinde meslek dersi öğretiminin değerlendirilmesi (Şanlıurfa örneği)

Abstract

Türkiye'nin en köklü kurumlarından biri olan İmam Hatip Liseleri geçmişten günümüze amaçları, yapısı, programları ve öğrencileri ile eğitim alanında çok tartışılmış ve tartışılmaya devam etmektedir. Geçmişte inişli çıkışlı dönemleri olsa da 2012 yılından itibaren okul ve öğrenci sayıları hızla artışa geçmiştir. Yaşanan niceliksel artışla birlikte bu okullardaki eğitimin niteliğinin geliştirilmesine dönük çalışmalar da aynı paralelde artmıştır. Bu çalışmada da İmam Hatip Liselerinin program yapısında önemli bir yeri olan meslek derslerinin öğretiminin bu okulların en önemli paydaşlarından biri olan öğrencilerin görüşleri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel veri toplama tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada çalışma grubumuzu Şanlıurfa merkez ilçelerinde yer alan 5 farklı lisede öğrenim gören toplam 45 İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonunda İHL meslek derslerinin öğretiminde öğretmenin dersi aktif şekilde işlememesi, öğretmenin özel öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri konusundaki yetersizlikleri ve öğrenciyi aktif olarak derse kat(a)maması öne çıkan sorunlar olarak tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin bu okullardan beklentileri ise şunlardır: Üniversite sınavına hazırlayıcı eğitimlere ağırlık verilmesi, meslek derslerinin yoğunluğunun azaltılması, öğretmenlerin öğrencilerle etkili iletişim kurmaları ve sosyal etkinliklerin artırılmasıdır. From past to present Imam Hatip High schools which are one of the most deep-rooted institutions in Turkey have been discussed in terms of their objectives, structure, programs and students in the field of education. Although they passed ups and downs in the past, these schools have been increased in number rapidly since 2012. Not only numbers of these schools and their students have been increased but also quality of these schools and academic studies that aim to enhance this quality have been improved. In this study, we aim to assess teaching of vocational courses that form the base of Imam Hatip High scools in accordance with opinions of the students' who are oneof the most important share holder of these schools. In this study qualitive data collection techniques were used. Forty-five Imam Hatip High schools'students from five different high scool forms the study group. According to research result, it is identified that teachers' who don't teach these lessons in an energetic mood, who don't take advantage of special teaching techniques and don't include students into the lessons actively are prominant problems in teaching of vocational courses at Imam Hatip High schools. Students'expect from these schools and their teachers to prepare them to university entrance exam, to decrease thenumber of the technical courses in Imam Hatip High schools, to communicate effectively and to increase the number of the social activities.
