Bu araştırma; Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi cerrahi kliniklerinde görev yapan hemşirelerin
kan ve vücut sıvıları ile bulaşan hastalıklar konusundaki bilgi ve uygulamalarının incelenmesi
amacı ile tanımlayıcı türde gerçekleşmiştir.
Araştırmanın evrenini cerrahi birimlerde çalışan toplam 90 hemşire oluşturmaktadır.
Araştırmanın örneklemini ise raporlu ve izinli olmayan, araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 83
gönüllü hemşire oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri Kasım 2013-Ocak 2014 tarihleri
arasında araştırmacı tarafından yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmıştır.
Veri toplamada hemşirelerin tanıtıcı özelliklerini içeren anket formu kullanılmıştır.
Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizi bir istatistik programı olan SPSS 16
kullanılarak tanımlayıcı istatistiksel yöntemle yapılmıştır.
Bu çalışmaya katılan cerrahi hemşirelerinin %45.8’inin 26-30 yaş arsında, %72.3’ünün
kadın, %63.9’unun lisans mezunu, %80.7’si bulaşıcı hastalıklar konusunda eğitim almış, eğitim
alanların %70.1’i bu eğitimi hizmet içi eğitim şeklinde almıştır. Hemşirelerin %88’i kan yoluyla
bulaşan hastalık geçirmemiş, %63.9’u hepatit B aşısı olmuştur, aşı olmayanların %53.3’ü doğal
bağışık olduğu için aşı olmamıştır. Aşı olanların %81.8’i aşı proğramını düzenli bir şekilde
uygulamış ve %60.7’si antikor düzeyine baktırmıştır. Yine hemşirelerin %37.3’ü 1 yıldan daha
uzun süredir serolojisine baktırmamıştır. Hemşirelerin %46.2’si son 6 ay içerisinde yaralanmış,
yaralanan hemşirelerin %34.2’si yaralanmayı enjektörün kapağını takarken yaşamıştır. Yine bu
hemşirelerin %69.2’si bu yaralanma sırasında yaralanmaya sebep olan alet üzerinde hasta kanının
bulunduğu ifade etmiş, %87.2’si yaralanmayı rapor etmemiş ve %42.4’ü önemsemediği için rapor
etmemiştir.
Hemşirelerin %66.7’si yaralanma sonrası hastanın serolojisine baktırmamışken,
%56.4’ü kendi serolojisine baktırmamıştır. Son 6 ayda hemşirelerin %62.8’i kan ve vücut
sıvısı ile temas etmiş ve temas sırasında hemşirelerin %13.8’inin açık yarası olduğu
saptanmıştır.
Risk altındaki sağlık çalısanlarının kan ve beden sıvıları ile bulasan hastalıklardan
kendilerini koruyabilmeleri için evrensel önlemler hakkında hemşirelerin bilgilendirilmesi,
önlemlerin etkin bir sekilde uygulanması önerilmektedir.
This research is done in a descriptive way in order to analyze the information and
applications of the nurses who work at the surgery unit of Turgut Özal Medical Center on the
diseases transformed by blood and body fluids.
The research population consists of 90 nurses who work at the surgery units. The
research samples consist of 83 volunteer nurses who accepted the research and who are not
off duty. The research data is gathered by the researcher by the face-to-face conversation
method in the dates between November 2013- January 2014.
An survey questionnaire including the identifier characteristics of the nurses is used in
the data gathering. The statistical analysis of the data gathered in the research is done by using
the descriptive statistical method using the statistic program SPSS 16.
The 45.8% of the nurses that are included in the study are between the ages of 26-30,
72.3% are woman, 63.9% have a bachelor's degree, 80.7% are educated about the contagious
diseases, 70.1% of those who received the education received it as in-service training. The
88% of the nurses did not suffer from a blood-borne disease, 63.9% received Hepatitis B
vaccine, 53.3% was not vaccinated for being natural immunes. The 81.8% of those who were
vaccinated applied the vaccine program regularly and 60.7% stopped it at the antibody level.
The 37.3% of the nurses did not receive a serology check for more than a year. The 46.2% of
the nurses were injured in the last 6 months and 34.2% of those who were injured experienced
the injury while placing the capsule of injector. The %69.2 of those nurses stated that during
the injury there was patient's blood on the device that caused the injury, 87.2% did not report
the injury and 42.4% reported that he/she did not care.
While the 66.7% of the nurse had a serology check after the injury, 56.4% did not
have a serology check. The 62.8% of the nurses contacted with blood and bodily fluid within
the 6 months and it was detected that the 13.8% of the nurses had an open wound during the
contact.In short, we recommend that nurses under risk should be informed about the universal
precautions to protect themselves from diseases transmitted via blood and body fluids and these
precautions should be performed effectively
