Türkiye'de döviz kuru geçişkenliğinin ihracat ve ithalat fiyatları üzerindeki etkisi

Abstract

Döviz kuru geçiş etkisinin fiyatlar üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi, döviz kuru şoklarının yurtiçi ekonomi üzerinde ne ölçüde tehdit oluşturacağının belirlenmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Ayrıca, döviz kuru geçiş etkisinin oranı merkez bankasının enflasyonla mücadelesinde uygulayacağı para politikasının tayin edilmesi bakımından da önemli bir faktör olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, döviz kuru geçişkenliğinin Türkiye'de ihracat ve ithalat fiyatlarına etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu etkinin derecesi, hem genel ihracat ve ithalat; hem de tarım ve ormancılık, imalat sanayi, balıkçılık, madencilik ve atık ve hurdalar alt sektörleri ihracat ve ithalat birim değer endeksleri açısından araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın ampirik uygulama bölümünde, zaman serilerine dayalı ekonometrik analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemin uygulanmasından önce serilerin durağanlıklarını test etmek için Genişletilmiş Dickey-Fuller (ADF) ve Phillips-Perron birim kök testleri ile Zivot-Andrews ve Lee-Strazicich birim kök testleri yapılmıştır. Daha sonra Granger, Toda-Yamamoto ve Bootstrap-Toda Yamamoto, Hatemi J-Roca ve Frequency Domain nedensellik analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Modelde değişkenler genel sektörler itibariyle Ocak 1997 ve Kasım 2014 , alt sektörler itibariyle ise Ocak 2010 ve Kasım 2014 dönemini kapsamaktadır. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonrasında döviz kuru geçiş etkisinin ihracat birim değer endeksi için geçerli olmadığı, , ithalat birim değer endeksi için kısmen geçerli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The effect of exchange rate pass through determine the effect on prices is important, exchange shocks in terms of determining to what extent will create a threat on the economy. Besides, rate of the effect of exchange rate pass through, in the fight against inflation the central bank as an important factor in the determination of monetary policy to be applied is encountered.In this study, the exchange pass through, the effect of the export and import prices in Turkey aimed to investigate. The degree of this effect, both export and imports in general, as well as agriculture and forestry, manufacturing, fishing, mining and waste and scrap sub-sector in terms of export and import value indices, investigated. In the empricial part of the study application, based on time series econometric analysis methods were used. Before the use of this method to test stability of the series extended Dickey Fuller and Phillips-Perron unit root test and Zivot-Andrews and Lee-Strazicich unit root tests were made. Latter Granger, Toda-Yamamoto and Bootstrap-Toda Yamamoto, Hatemi J-Roca and Frequency Domain were carried out. Varriables in the model as general industry January 1997 and November 2014, as sub-sectors cover the perriod January 2010 and November 2014. After the performed analysis, the effect of exchange rate pass through for the export unit value index isn't applicable, to import value index, partially, it has been reached to be valid.
