Öğe The Effect of Internal Marketing Implementations on the Organizational Citizenship Behaviors of Youth and Sports Directorate Employees(2021) Duyan, MehdiInternal marketing and organizational citizenship issues have recently begun to be studied more in the literature. This study aimed to examine the effect of internal marketing practices on the organizational citizenship behavior of employees in the sports sector. Data were collected by simple random sampling method using an online survey tool and was obtained from Antalya, Karaman, Kütahya, Izmir, Istanbul, and Muğla Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sport of employees (N = 224). As a data collection tool, the IM-11 scale developed by Yildiz and Kara (2017) was used to measure internal marketing, and the organizational citizenship behavior scale developed by Bolat, Bolat and Seymen (2009) was used to measure organizational citizenship behavior. Descriptive statistics, validity and reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. The result of the analyses showed the significant and positive effect of internal marketing on organizational citizenship behavior. In other analyzes, while internal marketing had a significant and positive effect on the sportsmanship and civic virtue subscale of organizational citizenship behavior, no significant effect was observed on altruism, conscientiousness, and courtesy.Öğe The Effect of Leisure Satisfaction on Job Satisfaction: A Research on Physical Education Teachers(Int Journal Applied Exercise Physiology, 2020) Duyan, Mehdi; Gunel, IlkerThe aim of this study is to investigate the effect of leisure satisfaction on physical education and sports teachers' job satisfaction. Data were obtained from physical education and sports teachers (N=230) working in public institutions in Turkey. First, an invitation message was sent to teachers including information about the study with electronic communication tools. Then, a questionnaire was sent to the teachers who agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected with two scales measuring leisure satisfaction and job satisfaction. The original form of the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS) was developed by Beard and Ragheb (1), and adaptation studies into Turkish were done by Gokce and Orhan (2) LSS consists of 24 items in its short form and 6 sub -dimensions: a) psychological, b) educational, c) social, d) physical, e) relaxation and f) aesthetic. JSS developed by Chang and Chang (3) and adapted to Turkish in sports sector by Yildiz (4) job satisfaction scale was used to measure job satisfaction. This scale, which has ten items, consists of internal and external satisfaction sub -dimensions. Descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, correlation, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were applied to the obtained data. Reliability of the scales was assessed using Cronbach's alpha. The values of Cronbach's alpha obtained for LSS (alpha=0.919) and JSS (alpha=0.790), indicating very good reliability scores and exceeding the 0.70 threshold cited in the literature. As a result of the hierarchical regression analysis, it was seen that leisure satisfaction had a significant and positive effect on physical education and sports teachers' job satisfaction.Öğe EXAMINATION OF THE PERSONALITY TRAITS OF ATHLETES AND THEIR LEVEL OF EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE(Int Journal Lifescience & Pharma Research, 2021) Gunel, Ilker; Duyan, MehdiThis study aims to examine the personality characteristics of athletes and their level of excellent performance in sports in terms of various variables. The target population of the study consists of the athletes in volleyball, basketball, and swimming clubs operating in Usak and Antalya. The sample of this study consists of 180 licensed athletes from basketball, swimming, and volleyball clubs. Big Five Personality Traits Scale and Validation of Performance Perfectionism Scale were used as data collection tools. No significant difference was found between the gender variable of athletes and their personality traits. It has been observed that the level of the excellent performance of men in sports is higher than that of women. A significant difference was determined between the personality traits of the athletes and the sports branch. No significant differences have been determined between the levels of excellent performance in sports and the branches of sports. A significant difference was found between the personality traits of athletes and the variable of encouraging sports. A significant difference was determined between the excellent performance of athletes in sports and the variable of encouraging sports. It has been determined that the excellent performance of the athletes in sports is at a medium level and their personality traits are at a high level. Athletes who train between 5-6 hours a week and whose sports branch is swimming are found to be more compatible as a personality, have a responsibility, are more open to innovations and new experiences, are more friendly and warm-blooded. It has been observed that the athletes who started sports with the encouragement of their father adapt to social life faster and are more compatible. It has been determined that the athletes who were encouraged by their friends to do sports have higher levels of excellent performance in sports.Öğe The Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction in the Effect of Leader-Member Exchange on Burnout: A Study on Physical Education Teachers(2022) Duyan, MehdiThis research was carried out to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction in the effect of physical education teachers' leader-member exchange on burnout. Liden and Maslyn's (1998a) leader-member exchange, Chang and Chang's (2007) job satisfaction, and Maslach and Jackson's (1981)Maslach burnout scale were used as data collection tools to determine the level of leader-member exchange. The study group of the research consists of a total of 155 physical education teachers, who work in the Malatya and Hatay provinces of Turkey. The study group was selected with the convenience sampling method, one of the non-random sampling methods. A questionnaire was applied to the teachers participating in the research via electronic communication tools. Data from participants were analyzed using SPSS Amos 20.0. In the research, descriptive statistics, correlation and boostrap regression analysis were performed. As a result of this study, it was found that job satisfaction played a mediating role in the effect of leader-member exchange on physical education teachers' burnout levels. It can be stated that increasing physical education teachers' leader-member exchange and improving their relationships with their superiors can be effective in increasing job satisfaction and reducing burnout.
