One of the causes for the emerging of bioeconomy is self-sufficiency for food. Bioeconomy consists of bio-goods (energy, medicine, etc.) produced through existing and new technologies and processes. It can provide many environmental benefits like the decrease of greenhouse gas, the slow-down of global warming, biological variety etc. Biotechnology, considered as a part of bioeconomy, can be defined with four colors: Red (medical), blue (hydrologic), green (agricultural) and white (industrial). Today in OECD countries, 75 % of the potential economic contribution of bio-technology has realized in agriculture and industry. In USA, EU and a lot of countries the number of bio-tech companies is gradually rising; and goods of these companies especially in supermarkets and pharmacies stimulate consumer demand and the endorsement of these companies is exceeding trillions of dollars. Turkey cannot turn away from this bioeconomic revolution. Turkey still is not a competitive country in bioeconomy and biotechnology areas. So, Turkey should include bioeconomy investments in long-term development plans and strategiesÖğe Correlation of -Previous Advertisement Expenses- and -Total Sales-of Firms during the Big Recession(Elsevier Science Bv, 2014) Tasar, Izzet; Demirel, Gokce; Kalayci, IrfanWe know that the global crises that is named Big Recession by IMF first resulted a sharp decrease in total demand. The sharp decrease in total demand is not anything different from the real equilibrium in the consumptions. It is obvious that the market conditions forces the individual consumption to an upper level by its instruments. The most important instrument is Advertisement. Paco Underhill; an environmental psychologist says: If we went into shops only when we needed to buy something, and if once in there we bought only what we needed, the economy would collapse, boom. We will use 20 companies as a sample for our research. We will try to show the correlation between the adv. Expenses and sales and try to find an answer if it is worse or better to make advertisement expenses in the previous period of such a recession. (C) 2014 The Authors. If a country's defense is inadequate, other investments will remain to be an inadequate level in the country. World military expenditure in 2016 totaled about $1.68 trillion, around 2.2 percent of world GDP. From 1945 to the day extraordinary advances in military technology occurred made it mandatory new investment and reconstructions in the defense industry. Highly competitive inter/national large corporations should be established in the defense industry as USA and Europe made mergers. The biggest defense spenders in 2016 were respectively USA, China, Russia, S. Arabia, India. Rather, it is called and formed by observing his thoughts and actions. The model isn't ideological or based on classes, in line with the real needs of the country it is pragmatic. Moreover, it is a product of a modern and democratic understanding which emphasizes on the enlightenment philosophy of the West and welfare standards. DMA provides the government the role of intervention in the economy. The government tries to realize the economic policy aims such as full employment, price and monetary stability, fair income distribution and balanced foreign payment. DMA has two historical bases: Lack of industrialization in the Ottoman Empire compared to the Europe and unsuccessful industry incentive laws. Therefore, according to the DMA, industry sector and industrialization phenomenon are regarded as benchmarks. Economic bases of DMA were set in Izmir Economy Congress in 1923. The statism system emphasized in the congress and industry plans decided to be implemented in 1930s were basic references formed the model. Also, the World Economic Crisis in 1929 caused the model putting in the statism axis. The national industry and industrialization obtained various historical benefits through DMA. E.g. the balance between public and private sectors, passing to cultivator from bayonet, and practice of industry planning. In conclusion, development clock of the Republic economy was setted to the industry / industrialization.Öğe Financial Infection and Vaccine Theory: A General Critique of Crisis(Maliye Bakanligi, 2011) Kalayci, IrfanFinancial infection is a global defect or disease of capitalism which is getting worn out day by day. This infection create crises in the form of L, V, U or W and its aim is to destroy the immune system of the economy it enters. There are specific symptoms of this disease, vary from country to country. In general, the multi-national banks' liquidity crisis, the pressure of excess aggregate demand or excess aggregate supply over the real sector, inappropriate economic policies of governments, etc. play a role in the emergence and spread of the financial infection cases. 2008-global crisis with its continuous effects up to now can be called the financial infection, like 1929-crisis. Against infection or for disinfection, every modern economy resorts to the traditional policies. The Central Bank's and the Treasury's financial resources are provided as a kind of painkiller, and/or antibiotic. In this subject vaccine can also be brought to the agenda as an optional medicine. Of course, vaccines in the health sector are not to be vaccines which can be developed for the financial sector. This is only issue an analogy and comparison. In today's world, capitalism is the dominant system, and a vaccine-like treatment of the capitalism is also to be found inside the system itself. It is beneficial for all globalized countries, including Turkey, to obtain a vaccine scorecard which shows type, date and possible side effects of the vaccine and to act according to it, for the recovery from infection with minimum risk. In this study, which tries to develop a vaccine theory for the global economic crisis (also called financial infection), it is verified that each economy of the world has a sui generis period and a sui generis type of falling into a crisis, being recovered from a crisis.Öğe Global Terror/ism: From Political Economy to Political Finance(Maliye Bakanligi, 2019) Kalayci, IrfanTerror/ism is a global plague transferred to our era from the 20th century. The economy political and finance political dimensions of this disease, which is difficult to diagnose and treat, have been clarified. Terror is fed by black money while it first and foremost hits the live economy, Terror/ism looks at the world from three perspectives (people-technology-finance). These perspectives are the dark ones of the world since they are all about destroying people, using technology in bad faith, and wasting money. Many divert from the national level, thus globalizing terrorist organizations continue their existences by doing legal/illegal commercial activities. States fighting against terrorism have to make high military budgets and thus allocate less financial resources to welfare projects.Öğe Protectionism in Foreign Trade After Global Finance Crisis 2008: (Is) Paradigm Shift (?)(Maliye Bakanligi, 2011) Kalayci, IrfanThe global financial crises occurred from 2008 to 2010. As it was in the depression in 1929 bring up two opposite opinion about the capitalist system. Free foreign trade can cause both miracles and disasters. Most of the national-federal economies that are affected from the crises took a break to neo-liberal policies and embraced the protectionism shelter. This movement named as the shifts in the paradigms. USA started to export idea of murky protection with the slogan Keynes in - Smith out in order to fix the world economy caused by it own mortgage crises. It was interfered with control instruments in order to restabilize foreign trade. Each sector (agriculture, steel, automobile, energy, textile, services etc.) and each zone (USA, EU, ASEAN, BRICS etc.) used a specific intervention. On the other side, G-8, G-20, IMF and WTO and many other international organizations was cautioned on this protectionist politics.
