Panoptikonun işletmelerde sosyal kaytarma ve psikolojik iklim üzerine etkisi: Afşin-Elbistan Termik Santrali'nde bir araştırma

Özet
Hayata geçirilememiş mimari bir tasarım olan panoptikon, enformasyon teknolojilerinin gelişmesiyle beraber örgütlerde elektronik veya teknolojik panoptikon şeklinde vücut bulmuştur. Görünmeden bütünü görmek anlamına gelen ve metaforik bir kavram olan panoptikon denetimin ve bireyin üzerinde sürekli izlendiği hissi oluşturarak özdisiplinin bir aracı haline gelmiştir. Bireysel görevlere kıyasla toplu görevlerde çabanın azaltılması anlamına gelen ve sinerjinin tersi bir durumu ifade eden sosyal kaytarma bireysel performansı ve örgütsel sonuçları etkileyen önemli bir faktördür. Psikolojik iklim ise bireyin iş ortamına ilişkin olumlu olumsuz tüm algılarını ifade etmektedir. Bireyin çalışma ortamıyla ilgili algıları, davranışlarını ve örgütsel sonuçları etkilemektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın konusu denetimin ve özdisiplinin bir aracı olan panoptikonun sosyal kaytarmayı önleyip önlemediğinin, psikolojik iklimi hangi yönde etkilediğinin ve psikolojik iklim ile sosyal kaytarma arasındaki ilişkinin EUAŞ Afşin-Elbistan B Termik Santrali üzerinden araştırılmasıdır. Araştırma kapsamında EUAŞ Afşin-Elbistan B Termik Santrali çalışanlarına anket uygulanmış ve uygulama sonrasında 406 anket değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 26.0 ve AMOS 24.0 programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre tüm değişkenler arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Panoptikon ile sosyal kaytarma arasındaki ilişkinin negatif yönlü ve orta düzeyde olduğu, panoptikon ile psikolojik iklim arasındaki ilişkinin pozitif yönlü ve orta düzeyde olduğu, sosyal kaytarma ve psikolojik iklim arasındaki ilişkinin ise negatif yönlü ve orta düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda panoptikonun sosyal kaytarma ve psikolojik iklim üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu ve psikolojik ikliminde sosyal kaytarma üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. The panopticon, which is an unrealized architectural design, has been embodied in the form of electronic or technological panopticon in organizations with the development of information technologies. The panopticon, a metaphorical concept that means to see the whole without being seen, has become a tool of control and self discipline by creating a sense of constant surveillance on the individual. Social loafing, which refers to the reduction of effort in collective tasks compared to individual tasks and is the opposite of synergy, is an important factor affecting individual performance and organizational outcomes. Psychological climate refers to all perceptions of the individual about the work environment. Individuals' perceptions about the work environment affect their behaviors and organizational outcomes. In this context, the subject of the research is to investigate whether the panopticon, which is a tool of control and self-discipline, prevents social loafing, in which direction it affects the psychological climate and the relationship between psychological climate and social loafing through EUAŞ Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire was applied to the employees of EUAŞ Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant and 406 questionnaires were evaluated after the application. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0 programs. According to the results of the analysis, a significant relationship was found between all variables. It was observed that the relationship between panopticon and social loafing was negative, moderate and significant, the relationship between panopticon and psychological climate was positive, moderate and significant, and the relationship between social loafing and psychological climate was negative, moderate and significant. In this context, it was concluded that panopticon has a significant effect on social loafing and psychological climate, and psychological climate has a significant effect on social loafing.
