D-8 Ekonomileri, Dış Ticaret Desenleri ve Türkiye İçin Önemi: İhracat ve İthalat Yoğunluğu Endeksiyle Bir Değerlendirme

| dc.description.abstract | Öz: 1997’de Türkiye, Bangladeş, Endonezya, İran, Malezya, Mısır, Nijerya ve Pakistan’ın bir araya gelerek oluşturduğu D-8 Ekonomik İşbirliği Örgütünün en önemli kuruluş amacı üye ülkeler arasındaki ekonomik işbirliğini ve dış ticareti arttırmaktır. Kuruluşundan bu yana D-8 ülkelerinin küresel üretim ve dış ticaretteki payları giderek artmaktadır. Ancak D-8 ülkeleri halen bir bütün olarak birincil mal ihracatçısı ve ara/yatırım malı ithalatçısıdır. Bu bağlamda çalışma kapsamında D-8’in Türkiye’nin dış ticaretindeki yeri ve öneminin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda öncelikle D-8’in küresel ekonomideki konumu ve dış ticaret bileşenleri tespit edilmiştir. Sonrasında ise ilgili yedi ülkenin Türkiye ile dış ticaret verileri 1998-2017 yılları için ihracat ve ithalat yoğunluk endeksleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Türkiye’nin D-8 ülkeleri ile ihracatı ağırlıklı olarak ara ve yatırım mallarından ithalatı ise ağırlıklı olarak birincil mallardan (petrol ve hammadde) oluşmaktadır. Yapılan ölçümlerde her iki endeks değeri için de öne çıkan ülkeler İran ve Mısır olmuştur. İhracat yoğunluk endeksinin en düşük çıktığı ülkeler ise Malezya, Endonezya ve Bangladeş’tir. İthalat yoğunluk endeksi en düşük olanlar ise Nijerya, Malezya ve Endonezya’dır. Ayrıca genel itibariyle Türkiye için özellikle ithalat başta olmak üzere D-8 ülkeleriyle yapılan dış ticaretin öneminin arttığı tespit edilmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Öz: The main objective of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation which consists of Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria and Pakistan is to increase economic cooperation and foreign trade among the member countries. Since its establishment, the share of D- 8 countries in global production and trade has been increasing. However, D-8 countries are still exporter of the primary goods, and importer of intermediate/capital goods. The scope of the study in this context includes to identify the extent and the importance of D-8 in the foreign trade of Turkey. In doing so, the study, first of all, tries to establish the position of the D-8 in the global economy and its foreign trade components. The foreign trade data which are between Turkey and the other countries of the D-8 in the period of 1998- 2017 are analysed through export and import intensity indexes. Turkey's exports with D-8 countries are mainly consisted of intermediate/capital goods, while imports are mainly comprised of the primary goods (oil and raw materials). As a result of the measurements in the study, Iran and Egypt are the most notable countries in terms of these two indexes. The countries with the lowest export density index are Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh. The lowest import density index is computed for Nigeria, Malaysia and Indonesia. Moreover, it is determined that especially the imports as well as the foreign trade of Turkey with D-8 in general have gained increasing importance. | en_US |
