Özet
Osmanlı Devleti’nde ilk gazeteler 1820’li yıllarda ortaya çıkmıştır. Gazetelerin ortaya çıkmasında devlet adamlarının gazeteleri istedikleri gibi yönlendirebileceklerini düşünmeleri ve halka karşı bir propaganda aracı olarak kullanmak istemeleri etkili olmuştur. İstanbul’da gazeteler yayınlarını sürdürürken Osmanlının uzak eyaletlerinde de gazeteler çıkmaya başlamıştır. Kahire’de Ali Kemal tarafından yayınlanan Türk Gazetesi de bu gazetelerden biri olmuştur. Osmanlı aydını, şair ve yazarı Ali Kemal, İkdam’da Peyam’da, Peyam-ı Sabah’ta başyazarlık yapmıştır. Ali Kemal Mısır’da bulunduğu dönemde siyasi, ilmi ve edebi bir gazete olan Türk Gazetesi’ni 1903-1907 yılları arasında Kahire şehrinde haftalık olarak yayınlamıştır. 1882 yılında İngiltere tarafından işgal edilen Mısır, 1922 yılına kadar işgal altında kalmıştır. Mısır’ın içinde bulunduğu bu durum göz önüne alındığında Osmanlı Devleti’nde yaşanan siyasi gelişmeleri takip eden bağımsız bir gazetenin İngiliz işgali altında yayınlanması oldukça mühim bir konu olmuştur. Mısır, fiilen İngiliz işgalinde olan fakat hukuken Osmanlı Devleti’ne bağlı bir eyalet haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada Türk Gazetesi’nin Osmanlı Devleti’nde yaşanan siyasi gelişmeleri yakından takip ettiğine odaklanılmıştır.
The first newspapers in the Ottoman State appeared in the 1820s. The fact that the statesmen thought that they could direct the newspapers as they wished and wanted to use them as a propaganda tool against the public was effective in the emergence of the newspapers. While the newspapers continued their publications in Istanbul, newspapers began to appear in the distant provinces of the Ottoman State. The Turkish Newspaper, published by Ali Kemal in Cairo, was one of these newspapers. Ottoman intellectual, poet and writer Ali Kemal was the editor-in-chief of Peyam in İkdam and Peyam-ı Sabah. During his stay in Egypt, Ali Kemal, published the Turkish Newspaper a political, scientific and literary newspaper on a weekly basis in Cairo 1903 and 1907. Egypt, which was occupied by England in 1882, remained under occupation until 1922. Considering the situation Egypt was in publishing an independent newspaper that followed the political developments in the Ottoman State under the British occupation was a very important issue. Egypt became a province that was actually under British occupation but legally dependent on the Ottoman Empire. In this study, it is focused that the Turkish Newspaper closely follows the political developments in the Ottoman State.
