Özet
Din, tartışmasız olarak insanlık tarihi üzerinde etkili olan ve toplumların gidişatını, yaşam tarzlarını,
kültürlerini etkileyen en önemli olgulardan biridir. Bu nedenle bu olgunun insanın mutluluğu üzerindeki etkisi
akademik çevrelerce de araştırma konusu yapılmaktadır. Diğer yandan, bu alanda yapılmış mevcut çalışmalar
farklı sonuçlar vermektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı daha önce başka ülkeler için yapılmış ölçeklerden
faydalanılarak Kırıkkale Üniversitesi İktisadi İdari Bilimler Fakültesi’nde okuyan öğrencilerin maneviyatları ve
mutlulukları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmektir. Bu amaçla anket formu oluşturulmuştur. Formda, mutluluğu
ölçmede literatürde sıkça kullanılan ve hazır ölçeklerden olan Oxford Mutluluk Ölçeği (Oxford Happiness
Questionnaire) ve Sahin-Francis İslami Tutum Ölçeği (Sahin-Francis Scale of Attitude toward Islam)
kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında 420 öğrenciye anket uygulanmıştır. Bu anketlerin 127’si kontrol değişkenleri
aracılığıyla analiz dışı bırakılmış ve örneklem çapı 293 olarak belirlenmiştir. Analiz sonuçları ise dindarlık ile
mutluluk arasında istatistiksel olarak bir ilişkinin olmadığına işaret etmektedir.
The religion is the one of important phenomena affecting on the history of humanity unarguably, setting the course of societies, determining their life styles and cultures. For this reason, the effect of this phenomenon on the happiness of man has become also the focus of the research in academic circles. On the other side, the recent studies done in this field have brought out contentious results. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between happiness and religiosity of the undergraduate students studying in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Kırıkkale University by utilizing from the scale used in the studies having made in other countries. To this end, a questionnaire is created and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire and Sahin Francis Scale of Attitude toward İslam, available and often used in the literature to measure happiness, are utilized from. In the scope of the study, a questionnaire is made to four hundred and twenty students. The one hundred and twenty-seven of these questionnaires are put out of analysis through control variables. Finally, two hundred and ninety-three are determined as sample size for this study. The result of the analysis points out that there is not statistically relationship between the religiosity and happiness.
