Özet
Jeoekonomi yeni bir bilim dalı olarak Soğuk Savaş sonrası yeniden biçimlenen devletlerarası ekonomik ve siyasal ilişkileri tanımlamak için kullanılmaktadır. Bu bilim ayrıca ulus devletlerin değişen koşullar altında kendilerini yeniden tanımlamalarına ve yeni dünya düzeninde kendilerine yer kapma savaşımına rehberlik etmektedir. Jeoekonomi ulus devletlerin ortaya çıkmasından sonra devletler arası ilişkiler dizgesini ve dış politika uygulamalarını yorumlamayı amaçlayan görüşler evriminin şimdilik son halkasıdır. Yöntem olarak, politikadan çok ekonomiye, teknolojiye ve coğrafyaya önem vermektedir. Türkiye'nin bulunduğu coğrafi konumu, tarihsel ve kültürel geçmişi ve komşu ülkelerle olan ilişkileri, ona geniş bir coğrafyada ekonomik alan yaratma fırsatı vermektedir. Jeoekonomi de Türkiye'nin ekonomik alan yaratabilmesi ve ekonomik ilişkilerini geliştirebilmesi için uygulanması gereken politika olmalıdır. Bu nedenle jeoekonomiyi bir bilim dalı olarak ele almak ve Türkiye'nin tarihsel coğrafyasını ve bu coğrafyadaki ekonomik ilişkilerini incelemek büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu araştırmada, öncelikle ?Jeoekonomi? bilimsel açıdan tanımlanmış, Türkiye için önemi belirtilmiş ve uygulanabilir politikalar için bilimsel temeller oluşturmak amacıyla tarihsel jeoekonomik alan incelenmiştir.
Geoeconomics as a new science used to define the reshaped economic and political relations between and within states after the Cold War. This science also guides to the nation states to redefine themselves in the new world order. Geoeconomics is the last chain of the concept evolution to interprete interstate system and foreign policy practicies after the appearance of the nation states. Methodologically it puts emphasis on economics, geography and technology more over than politics. The geographical position, economic, historical and cultural past and relations with neigbouring countries grant Turkey to create an economic space in the vast geography. Thus, geoeconomics should be the policy to implement to create an economic space and to develop economic interactions for Turkey. Therefore, considering geoeconomics as a new science and to investigate the historical geography of Turkey and economic relations in that geoegraphy is very important for Turkey and the regional states in the new world order. In this work, ?geoeconomics? is identified scientificly and it is discussed about the importance for Turkey. And also Turkish historical geoeconomic space is investigated to form scientific base to develop practical policies in the future.
