| dc.description.abstract | Orta gelir tuzağı, dünya bankasının açıklamış olduğu kişi başı gelir seviyelerine bağlı olarak, ülkelerin orta gelir seviyesini yakaladıktan sonra, uzun dönem bu gelir seviyesinde takılıp kalmaları ve yüksek gelir grubuna geçememeleri olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Türkiye OGT'yı 1950'li yıllarda yakalamış ve yaklaşık 50 yıl bu düzeyde kalmıştır. Türkiye 2004 yılında yüksek orta gelir seviyesine ulaşmıştır. Tezin amacı, Türkiye'de bir OGT yaşanıp yaşanmadığını incelemektir. Bu tez iki soruya cevap aramıştır. Birincisi; Türkiye'de bir orta gelir tuzağı var mı? İkincisi ise; eğer bir tuzak varsa ne gibi önlemlerle anlatılıp anlatılmayacağıdır. Dünya ülkelerinin gelir seviyeleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Bunun sonucunda Türkiye'de dahil bir çok ülkenin orta gelir tuzağına maruz kaldığı gözlemlenmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The middle-income trap is referred to as a phenomenon in which countries catch the level of middle income level depending on the percapita income level announced by World Bank, but then stagnate at middle-income levels for many years and fail to reach the high-income level.Turkey caught this MIT in the 1950s and has remained at this level for about 50 years. Turkey reached a high middle-income level in 2004. The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether Turkey experienced this type of MIT or not. This thesis has sought answers for two questions. The first question is that: Is there any MIT in Turkey? The second question is that: if there is a MIT with which measures it is going to be explained? The income levels of the countries were compared. At the end of our investigation, it is observed that many countries, including Turkey exposed to the middle income trap. | en_US |
