Özet
Bu araştırmada, beden eğitimi ve spor etkinliklerine (atletizm, futbol, basketbol, voleybol vb.) katılan 7. ve 8.
sınıf ortaokul öğrencilerinin problem çözme becerilerinin beden eğitimi ve spor ile ilişkisinin çeşitli değişkenler
açısından incelenmesi ve sporun öğrencilerin problem çözme becerileri üzerisindeki etkisini ortaya çıkarmak
amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ankara’nın Altındağ ilçesi Osmangazi Ortaokulu’nda 2014-2015
eğitim öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 161’i erkek, 122’si kız toplam 283 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma
verilerinin elde edilmesinde Heppner ve Petersen (1982) tarafından geliştirilen Şahin, Şahin ve Heppner (1993)
tarafından Türkçe’ye uyarlanan Problem Çözme Envanteri ve araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi
formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin sosyo-demografik özellikler bakımından problem çözme
becerileri düzeyleri arasındaki farklılığı test etmek için tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), grup farklılıklarına
bakmak için Tukey HSD ve Independent Sample t testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada sonuç olarak; ortaokul
öğrencilerinin problem çözme becerileri toplam puanları ile yaş ve sınıf düzeyleri gibi değişkenler arasında
anlamlı fark bulunmazken, cinsiyet, anne ve baba eğitim düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.
In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between problem solving skills of 7th and 8th grade secondary school students who participate in physical education classes and sportive activities (athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, etc.) and physical education and sport in terms of various variables and to reveal the effect of sport on problem solving skills of the students. 283 students in total, 161 of whom are boys and 122 of whom are girls, who study in Osmangazi Secondary School located in Altındağ district of Ankara in 2014- 2015 school year constitute the subject group. In the data collection process, Problem Solving Inventory which was developed by Heppner and Petersen (1982) and adapted to Turkish by Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993), and personal information form which was prepared by the researchers were used. In order to test the difference between the levels of problem solving skills of the students participating in the study in terms of sociodemographic characteristics, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used while Tukey HSD and Independent Sample T Test were used in order to examine group differences. As a result, while a significant difference between total points of problem solving skills of secondary school students and the variables such as age and class levels has not been found, a significant difference between gender, and education levels of parents has been found.
