| dc.description.abstract | Temel parçacık fiziği, en temel seviyede madde neden yapılmıştır sorusuna cevap aramaktadır. Madde, atomaltı seviyede küçük parçalardan ve bunlar arasındaki çok geniş boşluklardan meydana gelmektedir. Evren çoğunlukla maddeden (proton, nötronlar, elektronlar gibi) ve çok az miktarda da anti-maddeden oluşmaktadır. Madde ve anti-maddenin temel özellikleri ve aralarındaki ilişki, evrenin nasıl değişeceğini belirlemektedir. Madde ve anti madde arasında simetriler mevcuttur, bunlardan biri olan CP denilen simetrinin bozulumu sayesinde madde ile anti-maddeyi ayırt edebiliyoruz. C yük konjugasyonu, P de pariteyi ifade etmektedir. Biz bu çalışmada D Mezon bozulumunda CP bozulumunu inceledik. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Elementary particle physics seeks the answers for the basic question: What is the matter made of? In subatomic level, matter is made of tiny particles and vast space between them. Universe is mostly made of matter (protons, neutrons, electrons etc.) and very little anti-matter. Basic characteristics of matter and anti-matter and the relation between them determine how the universe changes. There are symmetries between the matter and anti-matter and CP is one of them. Here C is the charge conjugation and P is the Parity symmetry. Violation in CP symmetry helps us to distinguish the matter from anti-matter. In this thesis we investigate the CP Violation in D meson decays. | en_US |
