| dc.description.abstract | Osmanlı adlî teşkilatının temel unsurlarından biri olan kadılık kurumu; Osmanlı idarî yönetiminin de en önemli organlarından birisidir. Kadı; bulunduğu yerin adlî en üst idarecisi olduğu gibi mülkî işlerinde en sağlıklı yürütülmesinden sorumludur. Durum böyle olunca kadı tarafından tutulan şeriyye sicilleri de Osmanlı toplumunun kazaî, idarî, sosyal ve iktisadî hayatını anlama ve izah etme konusunda yegâne kaynaklardan biri olmuştur. Zira bir şeriyye siciline kadı tarafından verilen hükümlerin yazılmasının yanında, halkın her türlü şikâyetleri de bu defterlerde kayıt altına alınırdı. İşte kayıt altına alınan bu belgeler Osmanlı toplumunun yaşayışı hakkında her türlü bilgiye birinci elden ulaşmayı mümkün kılmıştır. Fakat Tanzimat dönemi ile birlikte Osmanlı kurum ve müesseselerinin birçoğu ya ıslah edilmiş ya da yeniden oluşturulmuştur. İşte bu ıslahatlar ve oluşum sürecinden şer'î mahkemeler de etkilenmiş bu durum şeriyye sicillerinin belge türlerine ve içeriğine de etki etmiştir. Daha öncesinde toplum hayatına dair pek çok bilgiye şeriyye sicilleri vasıtası ile ulaşmak mümkünken Tanzimat sonrasında ulaşılan bilgi mahiyeti ve bilgi türü sınırlanmıştır. Söz konusu bu çalışmamızda; 7749 no'lu Malatya Şeriyye Sicil Defterinin tanımı ve transkripsiyonu, kaydedilen belgelerden Malatya hakkında değerlendirme, hükümlerin özeti ve konularına göre tasnifi yapılmıştır. 7749 no'lu Malatya Şeriyye Sicilinde Malatya'nın sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik, hukuki ve siyasi hayatı hakkında bilgi sahibi olmaktayız. | dc.description.abstract | Being one of the keystones of Ottoman Judicial System, Cadi ( Muslim Judges) is the most important organ of Ottoman Rural Administration. Cadi was the judgeof assigned area, social security association and civilian authority and security chief. Religious court records which recorded by Cadi has become one of the unique sources that describes social and economical life. Besides the verdicts recorded by Cadi, civils applied Cadi with every problem and Cadi recorded all of the applications. Such documents provides first hand information about the way of life in Ottoman Society. With the Tanzimat Reform Era, however, most of the govermnent agencies were revised or newly openned. This revision and formation period effected the religious courts and documents or records of religious courts. Before it was possible to reach information about social life, the type and quantity of information was restricted after Tanzimat Era. In this study, 7749 numbered Malatya Religous Court Records has been categorized in terms of its definition and transcription, evaluation about Malatya from recorded documents, topics and summary of verdicts. We have information about social, cultural, economical and political life of Malatya by 7749 numbered Malatya Religious Court records.
