dc.description.abstractAlt ekstremite varisleri toplumda sık görülür. Bu varislerin tedavisi konservatif veya cerrahidir. Uygun vakalarda skleroterapi uygulanabilir. Skleroterapi steril kimyasal flebit oluşturarak damar duvarını yapıştırır ve rezorbe olmasını sağlayarak varikoziteleri tedavi eder. Biz 25 olguya poliklinik şartlarında Polidokanol ile skleroterapi uyguladık. İşlem sonunda tüm varikoziteler ortadan kalktı ve majör komplikasyon görülmedi. İşlem kısa sürede tamamlandı ve maliyeti diğer tedavi yöntemlerinden ucuzdu. Bakılan biyokimyasal parametrelerde tedavi öncesi ve sonrası istatistiksel anlamlı fark görülmedi. Bu çalışma sonucu alt ekstremite varislerinin polidokanol ile skleroterapisinin cerrahiye alternatif, uygun ve güvenilir bir yöntem olduğu kanaatine vardık.en_US
dc.description.abstractLower extremity varicose veins are frequently seen in general population. It could be managed conservatively or surgically. Sclerotherapy has been shown to be effective in conservative management of varicose veins by causing chemical phlebitis and obliteration of varicosities. In 25 outpatient cases we have used sclerotherapy with polidocanol. This procedure was found to be effective in eradication of all varicosities and no significant complication was observed. The procedure was short and cost effective compared with others. There were no statistically significant difference in biochemical procedures studied. Consequently, our clinical experience suggests that treating the lower extremity varicose veins with polidocanol sclerotherapy is an effective, safe procedure and can be an alternative to surgical approaches.en_US
