Abstract

Peoples' beliefs and the applications of these have affected human life throughout history. Beliefs, stemming from emotions such as fear, contentment and hopelessness among people living together, turn into folkloric practice by combining with custom and tradition. Belief is not only a form of understanding occuring in the mind as a consequence of perceptions of the outer world, but also a form of social acceptance. Peoples' beliefs contain important principles which can be traced to the sources of their cultures, and these principles are transmitted from generation to generation.
