| dc.description.abstract | Öz: Amaç: Araştırmada üniversite öğrencilerinintoplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve şiddete yöneliktutumlarını belirlemek amaçlandı.Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipte olan araştırmanınörneklemini İnönü Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören743 lisans öğrencisi oluşturdu. Veri toplama aracıolarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Toplumsal Cinsiyet RolleriTutum Ölçeği ve Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeğikullanıldı. Veriler Ocak-Şubat 2012 tarihleri arasındatoplandı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaşortalaması 21,87 ± 1,95 olup; %61,9'u kızdır.Öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri üzerine etkiliolan değişkenlerin cinsiyet, öğrenim görülen bölüm,anne ve babanın eğitim düzeyi, gelir düzeyi, aile tipive annenin çalışma durumu olduğu belirlendi(p<0,05). Öğrencilerin fiziksel şiddete yöneliktutumları üzerine etkili olan değişkenlerin cinsiyet,öğrenim görülen bölüm ve annenin çalışma durumuolduğu belirlendi (p<0,05). Yapılan korelasyonanalizinde öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerigeleneksel tutum puanları arttıkça fiziksel şiddetionaylama puanlarının da arttığı belirlendi (r= -0,35;p<0,05).Sonuç: Öğrencilerde geleneksel toplumsal cinsiyetrollerinin fiziksel şiddeti onaylamayı artırdığı saptandı. Başlık (İngilizce): The Attitudes of University Students Regarding Gender Roles and Violent Behaviours Öz (İngilizce): Aim: The aim of the study was to determine theattitudes of university students towards gender rolesand violence.Method: The sample of this descriptive studyconsisted of 743 students studying at InonuUniversity. Personal Information Form, Gender RolesAttitude Scale, and Attitudes Towards Violence Scalewere used as the data collection tools. The datawere collected between January and February 2012. Findings: The average age of the studentsparticipated in the study was 21.87±1.95; 61.9%were female. The variables affecting gender roles ofthe students were found to be gender, departmentbeing studied, educational levels of the mothers andthe fathers, income level, type of family and theworking status of the mother (p<0.05). Thevariables associated with attitudes of the studentstowards physical violence were gender, departmentbeing studied, and the working status of the mother(p<0.05). As a result of the correlation analysis, itwas found that as traditional attitude scores ofgender roles increased among the students, theirscores of agreeing with physical violence increased(r=-0.35; p<0.05).Conclusion: The traditional gender roles increasethe approval of physical violence among thestudents. | en_US |
