| dc.description.abstract | Hilmi Ziya Ülken ve John Dewey eğitim felsefesi alanında adından söz ettirmiş ve eğitime dair görüşlerinin günümüzde de geçerliliğini koruduğu iki önemli filozoftur. Eğitim felsefesinde benimsedikleri fikir ve yöntemler ile eğitimi dinamik, sosyal yaşamla ilişkili, eşitlikçi ve topluma iyi hazırlanmış bireyler yetiştirme noktasında ileri taşımayı amaçlamışlardır. Bunu yaparken evrensel ve yeniliğe açık yöntemler benimsemişlerdir, bununla birlikte içinde yetiştikleri kültürün eğitim yapısının gereklerini de gözetip mevcut durumda sorun olduğunu düşündükleri yöntemleri eleştirmişlerdir. Bu çalışma iki filozofun felsefesi ve eğitim felsefesinin incelenmesiyle, ikisinin eğitim felsefesinin benzer ve farklılıklarının tespit edilmesine yönelik bir mukayesedir. | dc.description.abstract | Hilmi Ziya Ülken and John Dewey are two important philosophers who have made a name for themselves in the field of educational philosophy and whose views on education are still valid today. With the ideas and methods they adopted in the philosophy of education, they aimed to move education forward in terms of raising dynamic, socially related, egalitarian and well-prepared individuals. While doing this, they adopted universal and innovative methods, and they also criticized the methods that they thought were a problem in the current situation, taking into account the requirements of the educational structure of the culture in which they grew up. This study is a comparison to determine the similarities and differences between the two philosophers' philosophies of education and their philosophies of education.
