dc.description.abstractA linearized implicit finite-difference method is presented to find numerical solutions of the one-dimensional Burgers-like equations. The method has been used successfully to obtain accurate numerical solutions even for small values of viscosity term v. Results obtained by the present method using a direct technique for some values of v have been compared with the exact values and are found to be in good agreement with each other.
