Özet
Bu çalışma, MÖ.7-6 yüzyıllara tarihlenen Pompei kalıntılarındaki freskolarda görülmeye başlayan; daha sonra
MS. 27-395/4.yüzyıla kadar Roma İmparatorluğu’nun yayıldığı bütün yerleşim bölgelerinde yoğun olarak
kullanılan fresco ve mozaiklerde yer alan ve 17. Yüzyıl Hollanda resmiyle birlikte nesnenin merkeze alındığı
bir tür olarak gelişen natürmortu ele almaktadır. Natürmortun biçimsel ve düşünsel anlamda günümüz
sanatında nasıl yer bulduğu ve geleneksel tanımının bugün neleri kapsadığı üzerinde durmayı
amaçlamaktadır.
This study discusses still-life painting which was started to be seen in the frescos of Pompeii ruins belonging to 7th-6th Centuries B.C. and later in the frescos and mosaics intensely used in all residential areas where Roman Empire expanded until 27-395/4th century A.C. and finally developed as a style where object is taken into the center of the pictures in paintings of Holland in 17th century. This study aims to highlight the place and traditional definition of still-life painting in respect of its stylistic and intellectual aspects in the art at the present and its scope as of today.
