| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Antik Yunan felsefesinde, ikinci bölümde İslam filozoflarında, üçüncü bölümde ise 17.yy. sonrasında zaman kavramına yönelik felsefi yaklaşımlar ele alınmış ve zamanın geometrik yorumu yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuç kısmında ise zaman kavramına ilişkin değerlendirmeler geometrik yorumu yanında gerçekliği ve gerçekdışılığı konusuyla birlikte işlenmiştir. Zamanın varlığı ya da yokluğu, çizgiselliği ya da döngüselliği, zihinde veya zihin dışında olup olmadığı tartışmaları birçok filozofun yaptığı gibi kesin sonuçlara bağlanarak açıklanması yerine, kesin tanımlamalardan kaçınılarak yorumlanmıştır. Çünkü zamanın nesnel boyutu öznel boyutundan izafiyet bağlamında, oldukça ironik olsa da, daha az karmaşık değildir. Zamanı anlamada böylesi bir kesinlik tutarlı bulunmamıştır. Ayrıca popüler bilim çalışmalarındaki birçok düşünce deneyi teorik bağlamda tezin kapsamında yeteri kadar anlamlı görülmediği için bilinçli olarak bu teze dahil edilmemiştir. Örneğin; zamanda yolculuğa davet için evrendekilere Hawking'in mektubu, gibi çalışmalara yer verilmemiştir. Zaman ve zaman felsefesi hakkında sırasıyla görüşleri incelenen filozoflar; Platon, Herakleitos, Parmenides, Melissos, Elealı Zenon, Pythagoras ve Pythagorasçılar, El Kindi, İbn-i Sina, Ebu'l Berekat El Bağdadi, İbn-ül Arabi, Immanuel Kant, Henri Bergson, Edmund Husserl, John Ellis McTaggart ve Dummett'tır. | dc.description.abstract | This study is divided into three main parts. The first part of the study examines how the concept of time is handled in Ancient philosophies, at the second part, is handled in İslamic philosophers, and the third part of the study focuses on the studies on time during the 17th century and geometrical meaning of time. At the last part of the study, in the following centuries reality and unreality of time are examined and in addition to this background, the final part of the study aims to interpretation in this concept of time. The discussions related to time such as the existence or non-existence of it, its linearity or circularity or its existence in mind or its outside of mind etc. are not offered certain paradigms as most of the philosophers do but rather they are tackled critically. This is because, ironically, the objectivity of time is not less complex than its subjectivity in terms of relativity. This study, therefore, holds that time cannot be understood with certain paradigms. Moreover, the thought experiments of popular science. For example Hawking's letter which invites the people in universe to a journey in time etc. have been intentionally excluded from this study because they are not accepted to be theoretical and contextual enough within the context of the study. This study basically examines the concept of time through the philosophies of Plato, Heraclitus, Parmenides, Melissus, Zeno, Phytagoras and Phytagorians, El Kindi, İbni Sina, Ebu'l Berekat, El Bagdadi, Ibn-ül Arabi, Immanuel Kant, Henri Bergson, Edmund Husserl, McTaggart and Micheal Dummett.
