dc.description.abstractAim: This research was conducted as a descriptive study to examine the ethical sensitivities of midwifery and nursing students. Methods: The study was conducted with 526 midwifery and nursing students who voluntarily accepted to participate in the research between January 2-March 31 2017. The research data were collected from Individual Identification Form and Moral Sensitivity Questionnarıe. Data was analyzed by number, percentile, mean, standard deviation, independent t test, One-Way Anova, Mann Whitney-U test and Kruskal Wallis tests using SSPS 20.0 for Windows program. Results: The average age of the students is 20.95 ± 2.13. Eighty four percent of the students are girls, 92.8% are not working, and 62.4% are mostly living on the city. 63.1% of the students are students in the nursing department and 54% reported that they chose willingly own departments. The Moral Sensitivity Questionnarıe total score averages of the students was 89.17 ± 23.09. A statistically significant relationship was found between ethical sensitivity and "marital status and place of life" of students (p <0.05). A statistically significant relationship was not found between ethical sensitivity and "choosing the department, the class, the department willingly, liking the department, taking lessons about ethics and experiencing ethical dilemmas before" of students (p>0.05). Conclusion: According to this research result, the ethical sensitivity of midwifery and nursing students was found to be moderate. © 2019, AVES. All rights reserved.en_US
