A 4-year-old girl presented to our hospital with inability to close her left eye and headache. Seven months earlier, she had fallen and her left eye had been injured. Physical examination and radiologic investigations revealed contracture of the left eye and brain abscess. The case is interesting because we have found out that injuries of the eyelids may lead to intracranial complications in the long term, although they do not cause any symptoms of an intracranial abnormality in the short term.en_US
