Ortaokul altıncı sınıf öğrencilerinin kesirlerle işlemlere yönelik problem kurma becerilerinin incelenmesi

| dc.description.abstract | Araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul altıncı sınıf öğrencilerinin kesirler konusu kapsamında problem kurma becerilerini, beceri düzeyi, cinsiyet ve okulların sosyoekonomik düzeylerine göre incelemektir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama araştırması kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin problem kurma becerilerini belirlemek için, araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan ve açık uçlu dokuz sorudan oluşan problem kurma testi kullanılmıştır. Problem kurma testi oluşturulurken uzmanlardan görüş alınmış ve pilot uygulaması yapılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemini belirlemek amacıyla, olasılığa dayalı örneklem türlerinden uygun örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, araştırmanın katılımcılarını, araştırmacının kolay ulaşabileceği Bilecik ilindeki alt, orta ve üst sosyo-ekonomik düzeye sahip sekiz ortaokulda altıncı sınıf düzeyinde öğrenim gören 320 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizi kapsamında betimsel istatistikler, Mann-Whitney U Testi ve Kruskal Wallis Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, öğrenciler en çok yapılandırılmış problem kurma türünde başarılı olurken, en az yarı-yapılandırılmış yapılandırılmış problem kurma türünde başarılı oldukları belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte, öğrencilerin cinsiyetlerine göre problem kurma başarılarına göre kızlar lehine anlamlı farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin okul türlerine göre problem kurma başarıları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was determined as “examining the problem posing skills of secondary school sixth-grade students within the scope of the subject of fractions according to the skill level, gender, and socioeconomic levels of schools.” In line with the aim of the study, survey research among quantitative research methods was used. The “Problem Posing Test” that was created by the researcher and consists of nine open-ended questions was used in order to determine the problem posing skills of students., 320 students studying at the sixth grade at eight secondary schools from low, middle and high socio-economic levels in Bilecik province constituted the participants of the study. Descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U Test and Kruskal Wallis Test were used in the analysis of data. As a result of the study, students were found to be successful in the most structured problem posing type, while at least semi-structured problem posing type. Nevertheless, it was found out that there is a significant difference in favour of females in the problem posing success of students by their gender. Furthermore, no significant difference was found between the problem posing success of students by their school levels. | en_US |
