dc.description.abstractÖzgürlük kavramı, düşünce tarihinin en köklü ve tartışmalı konularından biri olarak, insanlık tarihi boyunca felsefi ve siyasi diskurun merkezinde yer almıştır. İnsan varoluşunun temel bir parçası olarak görülen özgürlük üzerine yürütülen tartışmalar bireysel varoluşu aşarak, toplumların siyasal varoluşunun şekillenmesinde merkezi bir rol oynamıştır. Bu nedenle özgürlük kavramı, insanın dünyadaki yerini ve ontolojik statüsünü sorgularken sıklıkla başvurulan bir kavram olmuştur. Tarih boyunca pek çok filozof, yazar ve düşünür tarafından ele alınan özgürlük, farklı disiplinler ve perspektifler doğrultusunda çeşitli tanımlar ve yorumlar kazanmıştır. Bu çeşitlilik; özgürlüğün evrensel ve tek bir tanımının olmadığını aksine kültürel, sosyal ve tarihsel bağlamlara göre şekillenen çok boyutlu bir kavram olduğunu göstermektedir. Özgürlük soruşturmasında determinizme getirdiği eleştirilerle öne çıkan önemli filozoflardan biri de Emile Boutroux'dur. Özellikle "Doğa Kanunlarının Zorunsuzluğu Hakkında" (De La Contıngence Des Loıs De La Nature) adlı eseriyle, dönemin hâkim determinist ve mekanist anlayışlarına karşı özgür iradeyi savunarak felsefe tarihinde önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Çok yönlü bir düşünür olan Boutroux; felsefe tarihi, edebiyat eleştirisi, dilbilim ve ahlak felsefesi gibi çeşitli alanlarda da önemli katkılarda bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada, Boutroux'un felsefi sisteminde özgürlük kavramının çeşitli açılardan incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Özellikle bireysel ve toplumsal düzeyde özgürlüğün doğası, ahlak felsefesi bağlamında özgür irade ve sorumluluk ilişkisinin nasıl kurulduğu; bilgi, din ve sanat gibi alanlardaki yaratıcılığın özgürlük ile olan içsel bağlantısı gibi konular detaylı bir şekilde ele alınacaktır. Boutroux'un "zorunsuzluk" doktrininin, bu farklı alanlardaki özgürlük anlayışını nasıl şekillendirdiği ve özgürlüğün insan varoluşundaki temel yerini nasıl tanımladığı sorularına cevap arayarak, onun özgün felsefi mirasına yeni bir bakış açısı getirilmesi hedeflenmektedir. dc.description.abstractThe concept of freedom, as one of the most deep-rooted and controversial issues in the history of thought, has been at the center of philosophical and political discourse throughout human history. Discussions on freedom, which is seen as a fundamental part of human existence, have transcended individual existence and played a central role in shaping the political existence of societies. For this reason, the concept of freedom has been a concept frequently referred to when questioning the place and ontological status of humans in the world. Freedom, which has been addressed by many philosophers, writers and thinkers throughout history, has gained various definitions and interpretations in line with different disciplines and perspectives. This diversity shows that freedom does not have a universal and single definition, but rather is a multidimensional concept shaped according to cultural, social and historical contexts. One of the important philosophers who stands out with his criticisms of determinism in the investigation of freedom is Emile Boutroux. In particular, with his work "On the Necessity of the Laws of Nature" (De La Contingence Des Lois De La Nature), he gained an important place in the history of philosophy by defending free will against the dominant determinist and mechanist understandings of the period. A versatile thinker, Boutroux has made significant contributions to various fields such as the history of philosophy, literary criticism, linguistics and moral philosophy. This study aims to examine the concept of freedom in Boutroux's philosophical system from various perspectives. In particular, the nature of freedom at the individual and social level, how the relationship between free will and responsibility is established in the context of moral philosophy, and the inherent connection between creativity and freedom in areas such as knowledge, religion and art will be discussed in detail. It is aimed to bring a new perspective to his unique philosophical legacy by seeking answers to the questions of how Boutroux's doctrine of contingency shapes the understanding of freedom in these different areas and how he defines the fundamental place of freedom in human existence.
