Özet
Tevfîk el-Hakîm Modern Arap Edebiyatının önemli şahsiyetlerinden olup edebi dilini ustaca kullanabilen ve eserleri üzerinden istediği mesajı yansıtabilen bir yazardır. Tiyatro, öykü ve roman gibi pek çok alanda eser kaleme alan yazarımız, okuyucularına yol gösterici ve anlam yüklü eserler bırakmıştır. Bu minvalde ele aldığı eserlerinden biri olan ve çalışmamıza konu olan "Eş'ab" adlı romanı, sosyal yapılanma ve ikili ilişkiler gibi hassas konulara değinmiştir. Çalışmamız iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde yazarın hayatı, edebi kişiliği ve Arap edebiyatındaki yeri işlenmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise "Eş'ab" adlı romanının tahlili yapılmıştır. Eserin şahıs kadrosu, işlediği konular, dil ve üslup açısından değerlendirilmesi ve kullandığı anlatım teknikleri gibi başlıklar ele alınmıştır. Eser, içerik olarak yukarıda da ifade ettiğimiz gibi sosyal konuları işlemiştir. Yazarımız vermek istediği mesajı romanın ismi ve aynı zamanda romanın ana karakteri olan "Eş'ab" adlı karakterde yansıtmaya çalışmıştır. Romanda anlatılan olaylar ve karakterler geçmiş bir dönemde yaşanmıştır. Ancak yazarımız bazı olguların zaman kavramından sıyrılıp her dönemde güncelliğini koruyabildiğini ortaya koyduğu eserle ifade etmiştir. Yazar, dikkat çektiği ve örneklendirdiği bu durumları şiirler, deyimler ve İslami motifler kullanarak yansıtmıştır. Biz de bu çalışmamızda, anlatılan bu problemleri kitaptan belli pasajlarla örneklendirerek yansıtmaya çalıştık.
Tawfiq al-Hakîm is one of the important figures of Modern Arabic Literature, a writer who can masterfully use his literary language and convey the desired message through his works. Our writer, who has written works in many fields such as theater, short stories, and novels, has left behind guiding and meaningful works for his readers. In this context, one of his works that he has dealt with and the subject of our study, the novel called "Ash'ab" is one of the most important factors in our preference for this work, as it touches on sensitive issues such as social structure and bilateral relations. Our study consists of two main parts. In the first part, the author's life, literary personality, and place in Arabic literature are discussed. In the second part, his novel "Ash'ab" is analyzed. Key aspects such as the work's cast of characters, the subjects it covers, its evaluation in terms of language and style, and the narrative techniques it uses are discussed. The content of the work, as we have stated above, deals with social issues. Our author tried to reflect the message he wanted to give in the name of the novel and also in the character named "Ash'ab" which is the main character of the novel. The events and characters narrated in the novel took place in the period. However, our author expressed with his work that some facts can escape the concept of time and maintain their relevance in every period. The author reflected these situations that he drew attention to and exemplified by using poems, idioms, and Islamic motifs. In this study, we tried to reflect these problems by exemplifying them with certain passages from the book.
