| dc.description.abstract | Felsefe tarihinin en zor filozoflarından bir kuşkusuz Spinoza’dır. Spinoza’yı bu kategoriye dahil etmemizin sebebi, felsefesinin monistik karakterde olması ve bu nitelikteki felsefesini olgusal bir evrende ve zorunlu olarak olgu ile sınırlı bir dil ile açıklamaya çalışmasıdır. Aşina olduğumuz ve birliğine dair deneyimine sahip olamadığımız çokluğun doğal karakteri ile ilgili olarak ortaya konan epistemolojik argümanların, kendisine zıt bir göndergede bulunmasının anlaşılmazlığı açıktır. Kanımızca Spinoza, felsefesi ile bu zorluğa meydan okuma çabasındadır. Dolayısıyla Spinoza’ya ilişkin birbirine zıt değerlendirmelerin olması da doğaldır. Bu zıtlıklardan pay alan ana meselelerden biri ise kuşkusuz onun Tanrı’ya dair görüşleridir. Kimi yorumcular onu panteist olarak nitelerken kimisi ise ateist olduğunu ileri sürmektedir. Bu makalede L. Strauss ve E. E. Harris’in filozofun Tanrı telakkisine yönelik farklı yorumlamalarını irdeleyerek hangi yorumun daha doğru olabileceğini değerlendirmeye çalışacağız. | dc.description.abstract | Undoubtedly, Spinoza is one of the most challenging philosophers of the history of philosophy. The reason why we include Spinoza in this category is that although his philosophy has monistic characteristics he tries to explain it in a phenomenological universe through a language necessarily restricted by phenomena. The epistemological arguments about the natural character of plurality, with which we are familiar although we have no ability to experience its unity, refer to an opposite reference and the incomprehensibility of this is obvious. We believe Spinoza endeavours to challenge this difficulty with his philosophy. Thus, about Spinoza it is natural for the conflicting views to emerge. Undoubtedly, one of the main issues which takes its share from these conflicts is Spinoza's views about God. While some commentators qualify him to be a pantheist while some others argue him to be an atheist. In this article, we will go through the different comments of Leo Strauss and E. E. Harris on Spinoza's conception of God and try to evaluate the accuracy of both comments. | en_US |
