dc.description.abstractPsoriasiste patolojik olarak tlenen artmış epidermal proliferasyonu baskılamaya yönelik çeşitli tedaviler yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bir vitamin D3 analoğu olan kalsipotriol topikal olarak son yıllarda psoriasis tedavisinde önerilmektedir. Bu çalışmada kronik plak tip psoriasis vulgaris tanısı konan 20 hastada topikal kalsipotriolun etkinliği incelenmiştir. Sekiz hafta süreyle günde iki kez kalsipotriol kullanılan hastalarda ilacın etkinliği tedavi öncesi ve sonrası PASI skoru hesaplanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Tedavi öncesi ortalama PASI skoru 4.05±.33, tedavi sonrası ise 0.88M.34 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Tedavi sonrası PASI skorundaki azalma istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur (p<0.001). Tedaviya ait herhangi bir yan etki gözlenmemiştir. Kalsipotriolun psoriasis tedavisinde topikal uygulamalara iyi bir alternatif olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractSeveral treatment modalities have been widely used in psoriasis, regarding to decrease the increased epidermal proliferation. Topical calcipotriol, a vitamin D3 analogue has been recently recommended in the treatment of psoriasis. In this study, the effectiveness of topical calcipotriol was investigated in 20 patients diagnosed as chronic plaque type psoriasis vulgaris. The therapeutic effect of the agent was evaluated with the calculation of PASI scores before and after the treatment of patients who applied calcipotriol twice daily for 8 weeks. Initially, the mean PASI score was 4.05±0.33, whereas after the treatment it was calculated as 0.8810.34. The difference between the PASI scores was found statistically significant (p<0.001). No side effect was observed during calcipotriol treatment and it was thought to be a good alternative to other topical agents used in the treatment of psoriasis.en_US
