Özet
Çocukların doğum ile birlikte, insanlar tarafından alabildiğine değiştirilmiş bir çevreye adım attıkları ve bu çevrenin, insanların kendileri
için yaşamı kolaylaştırma arzusu ile oluşturdukları yapay bir ortam olduğu söylenebilir. İnsan yaşamının en zor süreçlerinden birinin,
doğum ile birlikte adım atılan bu yeni çevreye uyum sağlama süreci olduğu düşünüldüğünde, yeni doğmuş bebeklerin en kolay öğrenme
yeteneklerinden birinin sürekli bir uyarıya alışmaya olan eğilimleri olduğu görülmektedir. Araştırmalarda, bebeklerin yeni uyarılara farklı
tepkiler gösterdiği, fakat uyarının sürekli hale gelmesi ile buna alışkanlık kazandığı görülmektedir. Bunun yanında bebeğin sinir sisteminin
duyu organları tarafından erkenden uyarılmasının daha sonraki aşamalarda ona daha büyük bir öğrenme yeteneği sağladığı da yapılan
araştırmalarda ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu noktada işitme duyusu diğer duyulara kıyasla doğum öncesi dönemden başlayan ciddi bir algılama
sürecine sahiptir. İşitme algısının anne karnında sesleri algılayabildiği dikkate alındığında, algı gelişimi içinde kritik bir yere sahip olduğu
görülmektedir. Bu nedenle insan yaşamında doğum öncesi ve bebeklik döneminin önemi dikkate alınarak bu çalışmada bebeklik döneminde
işitme algısının gelişiminin ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmesi, yaşamın kritik dönemlerinden biri olan bu döneme dikkat çekilmesi ve işitme
algısının gelişiminin erken yıllardan itibaren geliştirilmesine yönelik öneriler sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
It may be said that infants, right after the birth, enter into a considerably changed environment. This environment is artificial and created with the aim of making life easier by people. İf it is thought that one of the most challenging period of human life is the process of adaptation to this new environment, it will be seen that one of the easiest abilities of learning for newborn infants is their tendency towards getting used to a continuous stimulus. Research show that infants give different responds to a lot new stimulus; however, it is seen when the stimulus becomes continuous, they get used to it. It has been emerged in research that infants’ neural system is stimulated earlier, and this provides them with a greater learning ability in later stages. At this point, in comparison with the other senses, auditory sense has a serious perception process starting from prenatal period. When it is considered that infants are able to perceive sounds even before birth, auditory perception has a critical place in the development of perception. Thus, in this study, it is aimed to analyze in detail the development of auditory perception in infancy by taking into consideration the importance of prenatal and infancy period in human life. Besides, it is aimed to draw attention to this period, one of the most critical periods of life, this study also aims to make suggestions related with the development of auditory perception starting from the early years.
