All rights in the universal nature to which people are innate are the fundamental right for everyone, regardless of gender, physical appearance and / or disability. And these rights are legally guaranteed by the nations Accessibility, such as all rights defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is one of the fundamental human rights (Anonim,1948). There is limited work, knowledge and experience in the field of dısabled accessibility into the natural sites as in many areas in Turkey. In this case, the process and results of the implementation for disability access implemented by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks which is one of the most competent institutions on nature conservation and protected areas in Turkey, are shared. The project which is called "Disabled Friendly National Park; Küre Mountains Project "was submitted by Küre Mountains Ecotourism Association in 2013 to the "Grant Program for the Improvement of Social Integration of the Disabled" with technical and financial support of the General Directorate. The old school buildings in the Azdavay district within the national park has restorated as a disabled visitor center and the path that is reaching to the Çatak Canyon has arranged as a suitable route for the disabled accessibility under the project. The aim of the disabled accessibility study is to realize exemplary practices for making infrastructure and superstructure suitable for disabled access at the Küre Mountains National Park and improving of knowledge, capability and awareness. Since the beginning of the designing process of disabled park infrastructures, the universal design principles have been applied and designing studies have been carried out by considering all the obstacle groups (physical, visual, hearing, old, young etc.) based on these principles. The study is a first for national parks in Turkey and it is a guide for replication to other protected areas.
