ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN BÖLÜM TERCİHLERİNİ ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

| dc.description.abstract | Üniversiteler, ülke ve bölge kalkınmasına katkı sağlayacak nitelikli personel yetiştirmede lokomotif vazifesi görmektedir. İnsanların bilgi düzeylerini artıran kurumların başında yer alan üniversiteler, hemen hemen toplumun tüm kesiminden ilgi görmektedir. Ancak Türkiye’de son yıllarda Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı yerleştirme sonuçlarına bakıldığında bazı üniversitelerdeki bölümlerin yeterli düzeyde talep görmediği ve bölümlerde kontenjan boşluğu yaşandığı görülmektedir. Bu durumun temel nedenlerinden birisi açılan üniversite sayısındaki artış olarak ön görülse de üniversiteler arası rekabet açısından nedenlerin doğru tespit edilmesi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin bölüm tercihlerini etkileyen faktörleri tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2018 yılında İnönü Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesindeki öğrenciler örnek kütle olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışmada genel tarama yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Fakültede okuyan farklı bölümlerdeki 1 ve 4. sınıftan oluşan 489 öğrencinin katılımıyla, öğrencilerin okudukları bölüm tercih nedenleri incelenmiştir. Öğrencilerin bölüm tercih nedenlerini anlamaya yönelik ÖSYM Puanı, İş Bulma, Bölüm ve Sosyal Çevre boyutlarına yer verilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen verilere ilişkin analizler SPSS paket programında yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin ölçeklere ilişkin verdiği cevaplarda anlamlı farklılığın olup olmadığı t testi ve ANOVA testleriyle araştırılmıştır. Bazı değişkenler için anlamlı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlardan hareketle özellikle iş bulma durumunun öğrencilerin bölüm tercihlerinde önemli bir role sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Universities act as locomotives in training qualified personnel that will contribute to the development of the country and the region. Universities, which are one of the most important institutions that increase the level of knowledge of people, receive appeal from almost all segments of society. However, when we look at the Higher Education Institutions Exam placement results in Turkey in recent years has not seen an adequate level of demand in some departments of the universities. Although one of the main reasons of this situation is foreseen as the increase in the number of universities opened, it is of great importance to determine the causes correctly in terms of competition between universities. The aim of this study is to determine the factors that affect students' department preferences. In line with this purpose, students from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at İnönü University were selected as samples in 2018. Relational screening model, which is one of the general screening methods, was used in the study. The reasons for the department preference of 489 students who are in the 1st and 4th grades from different departments are examined. The OSYM Score, Job Finding, Department and Social Environment dimensions were included in order to understand the reasons for students ' preferences of department. The analysis of the data obtained in the study was made in the SPSS package program. Whether there is a significant difference in the answers given by the students on the scales was investigated with the t test and ANOVA tests. Significant results were obtained for some variables. Based on these results, it has been concluded that especially the employment situation has an important role in students' departmental preferences. | en_US |
