| dc.description.abstract | Öz: İnsan vücudunda çeşitli organlarda larva halinin yerleşmesiyle parazitlik yapan Echinococcus granulosus'un yaptığı kistik ekinokokkozisde sessiz geçen invazyon döneminde, paraziter enfeksiyonlarda yükselebilen kan elemanlarından eozinofillerin oranının arttığı ancak enfeksiyon geliştiğinde eozinofilinin düştüğü ve kistin açılması halinde hiper eozinofıli görüleceği bildirilmektedir. Bu çalışmada eozinofili düzeyi ile hidatik kist için spesifik antikor düzeyi arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Malatya ili Devlet Hastanesi ve İnönü Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Araştırma Hastanesi hematoloji polikliniğine başvuran kistik ekinokokkozis tanısı veya ön tanısı almamış ve eozinofilisi %10-80 arasında değişen toplam 103 hastanın serumları indirekt Hemaglutinasyon tekniği (IHA) ile çalışılıp eozinofili oranlarının %10-16 arasında değişen 16'sında (%15.5) kistik ekinokokkozis IHA pozitif bulunmuştur. Kistik ekinokokkozis tanılı hastaların takibinde eozinofili düzeylerinin kullanılabileceği, eozinofilinin çok yüksek seviyelerde olmaması durumunda da, hastaların hidatik kist yönünden araştırılmasının uygun olacağı sonucuna varılmıştır. Başlık (İngilizce): Seroprevalence of cystic echinococcosis in patients with Eosinophilia Öz (İngilizce): Echinococcus granulosus occurs in various organs of the human body in the larval forms and causes a parasitic disease known as cystic echinococcosis. It has been reported that eosinophilia, during parasitic infections, reaches a high level during the silent invasion period but the level falls with the development of the cyst. Then, the level of eosinophilia rises again after the rupture of the cyst. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the levels of eosinophilia and antibodies in cystic echinococcosis. The sera of 103 patients, who were admitted to the Malatya State Hospital and the haematology clinic of the Research Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, inönü University with levels of eosinophilia that ranged from 10-80%. These patients had not been given a diagnosis of hydatid cyst. Their sera were analyzed using indirect haemaglutination (IHA). Of the 103 sera, 16 (15.5%) were found to be cystic echinococcosis positive. It was concluded that eosinophilic levels may be beneficial in determination of the prognosis of patients with cystic echinococcosis and that patients with a moderate eosinophilic levels should also be examined with respect to the hydatid cyst | en_US |
