Özet
Beden, sosyal bilimlerde özellikle 1980'lerden itibaren artarak devam eden bir ilgi alanı haline gelmiştir. Sosyolojinin de bedene ilgi duyması kendi gelişiminin bir parçası olarak yeni bir uzmanlık alanı olan beden sosyolojisini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Beden sosyolojisi bedenin toplumsal yaşamda ön plana çıkmasıyla her dönemdekinden daha fazla görünür hale gelmiş, gündelik hayatta sosyal ilişkiler ve etkileşimler üzerindeki rolü ve etkisiyle önemli bir konuma sahip olmuştur. Bedenin günümüzde bu kadar önemlisi olması onun fiziksel bir yapı olmanın ötesinde toplumsal anlamlar ve sembollerin de taşıyıcısı olmasındandır. Kimlik ise toplumların ve zamanın ruhunu yansıtan bir aynadır. Toplumların yapılarını, ilişkilerini zaman ve mekâna bağlı olarak yansıtan bir olgudur. Araştırmanın konusu bu bağlamda bedenin toplumsal dinamiklerden nasıl ve neden etkilendiğini ve bu etkilerin bireylerin kimliklerini şekillendirmedeki rolünü. Çalışma, üniversite gençliğinin beden algısının sosyal medya, toplumsal cinsiyet normları ve kültürel değerler gibi faktörlerden nasıl etkilendiği, toplumsal bedenin zaman ve mekâna bağlı olarak nasıl yeniden inşa edildiği ve bu süreçlerin bireysel ve kolektif kimlik oluşumuna nasıl katkıda bulunduğu nitel bir araştırma modeliyle anlamaya çalışmaktadır.
The body has become an increasingly ongoing area of interest in social sciences, especially since the 1980s. Sociology's interest in the body has led to the emergence of a new area of expertise, the sociology of the body, as part of its own development. The sociology of the body has become more visible than ever with the body coming to the forefront in social life, and has an important position with its role and impact on social relations and interactions in daily life. The fact that the body is so important today is that it is not only a physical structure but also a carrier of social meanings and symbols. Identity is a mirror that reflects the spirit of societies and time. It is a phenomenon that reflects the structures and relations of societies depending on time and space. The subject of the research is, in this context, how and why the body is affected by social dynamics and the role of these effects in shaping individuals' identities. The study attempts to understand how the body perception of university youth is affected by factors such as social media, gender norms and cultural values, how the social body is reconstructed depending on time and space, and how these processes contribute to the formation of individual and collective identities with a qualitative research model.
