| dc.description.abstract | Öz: Çevre sorunları, çevreye yönelik çesitli örgütlenmelerin ortaya çıkısı, çevre koruma ve gelistirme faaliyetlerinin artması ve toplumlarda belirli bir çevre bilinç düzeyinin olusması gibi olumlu gelismeleri de beraberinde getirmistir. Bu gelismeler içerisinde çevrenin, bilimsel tartısma ortamlarında ele alınıp degerlendirilmesi de önemlidir. Türkiye’de, çevrenin bilimsel ortamlarda tartısılıp degerlendirilmeye baslanması, 1960’lı yıllarla birlikte gelismeye baslamıstır. Bu makalede, Türkiye’de çevrenin tarihsel yolculugu, 1960–2008 döneminde, çevre alanında düzenlenen bilimsel etkinlikler üzerinden degerlendirilerek ortaya konulmustur. Bu kapsamda, çevreye yönelik sempozyum, kongre, konferans, panel, forum, çalıstay ve bilimsel toplantı gibi etkinlikler üzerinden, dönemlere göre çevre alanında ortaya çıkan tartısma konuları ve önemli sorun alanlarının neler oldugu belirlenmeye çalısılmıstır. Bu süreçte, Türkiye’de çevreye yönelik bilimsel etkinliklerde bulunan kurum, kurulus, vakıf, dernek gibi yapılanmaların neler oldugu ortaya konulurken, dönemlere göre bu birimlerin sayısı kadar, bilimsel etkinliklerin sayısının da arttıgı saptanmıstır. Başlık (İngilizce): The historical journey of "environment" based on the scientific activities in Turkey: 1960-2008 period Öz (İngilizce): Environmental problems have also brought in some positive developments, such as emergence of environmental organization, increasing activities for protecting and developing environment as well as improving environmental consciousness. These developments require discussions and evaluations in a scientific framework, which started in 1960s in Turkey. In this research an attempt has been made to evaluate “the historical journey of environment in Turkey” in the period of 1960– 2008, focusing on the scientific activities. This study analyzes the enviromental discussions and problem areas by different periods based on congresses, conferences, panels, forums, workshop, and other similar activities. Moreover, while the study reveals the public and nonprofit organizations conducting scientific activities, it also indicates that the number of the organizations as well as scientific activities have been increased during the time. | en_US |
