| dc.description.abstract | Sanayileşme, Batı dünyasının tarımsal bir sistemden büyük ölçüde endüstriyel bir sisteme geçişini betimleyen bir süreçtir. Bu süreç, fabrikaların ve endüstriyel mesleklerin ve kapitalist sistemin ortaya çıkışı, düşük ücretlerle çalıştırılan işçiler, bilimsel ve teknolojik bilginin ön plana çıkması, kitlesel göç, kentleşme ve dinsel değerlerin aşınması gibi birçok olumlu ve olumsuz gelişmeyi bünyesinde barındırır. Toplumsal yapının en önemli unsurlarından biri olan eğitim, sanayileşme sürecinde köklü değişimlere maruz kalmış, antik ve ortaçağ dönemlerine özgü karakterini kaybetmiştir. Bunun nedeni, sanayileşme sürecinde bilimsel ve teknolojik bilginin ön plana çıkması, uzmanlık isteyen mesleklerin ortaya çıkması, meslek edinme ölçütlerinin değişmesi, toplumsal statülerin mesleklere göre şekillenmesi, endüstriyel sistem ve kapitalizme yönelik sosyalist tepkiler ve başka birçok kargaşa ve düzensizliklerdir. Bu tez, sanayileşmenin eğitim kurumu üzerindeki etkilerini incelemekte ve bilgi toplumunun ortaya çıkış hikâyesini değerlendirerek eğitim kurumunun gelecekte nasıl şekilleneceğinin ipuçlarını vermeye çalışmaktadır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Industrialization is process which represents the transition of the Western world from an agricultural to an industrial system. This process involves many positive and negative developments such as the emergence of factories and industrial professions, the capitalist system, workers that are employed with low charges, massive immigrations, urbanization and corrosion of religious values. The institution of education, the most important elements of sociological structure, has been exposed to various changes in this process and lost its ancient and medieval characteristic. This result was the consequence of the prominence of scientific and technological knowledge, emergence of the professions that required expertness, changes in criteria for being eligible for any profession, changes in one's social status due to one's profession, socialist reactions towards the Industrial system and capitalism and many other irregularities in the society. This study examines the multi directional influences of Industrialization on the institution of education from the time of Industrial Revolution to the present time, and evaluates the emergence of knowledge society and envisions what functions the institution of education might have in the future. | en_US |
