Özet
The present research aims to investigate the relationship between attitudes toward selfie- taking, social appearance anxiety, and online self- presentation. According to the research findings, a high level of consistency was found between participants' offline and online self- presentation, and the presentation of multiple online selves was found to be low. Moreover, it can be stated that participants reported low levels of social appearance anxiety and primarily took selfies for the purpose of creating memories. There is a moderate, positive, and significant relationship between selfietaking and social appearance anxiety; likewise, a moderate, positive, and significant relationship was also found between selfie- taking and online self- presentation. On the other hand, it has been revealed that there is a strong relationship between the dimensions of taking selfies-namely, "environmental enhancement," "attention seeking," "mood modification," and "self- c onfidence"- and online self-p resentation. © 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
