Özet
Bu araştırma, Pilates reformer ile yapılan egzersizlerinin uyluk çevre ölçümü ve uyluk arka grup
kasları-hamstring esnekliğine (HE) olan etkileri ve aralarındaki ilişkileri incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. 8 hafta
süreyle haftada 3 gün yapılan programa, 25-40 yaş arasındaki 15 sağlıklı sedanter kadın gönüllü olarak
katılmışlardır. Program öncesi ve sonrası, uyluk çevre ölçümleri mezurayla ve HE ölçümleri standart otur-eriş
testiyle belirlendi. İstatistiksel değerlendirmeler için tanımlayıcı istatistik, ön test ve son test farkı için örnek
eşleştirilmiş t testi yapıldı. yapıldı. Son testte elde edilen uyluk çevresi ve HE verileri arasındaki ilişkiler için
Pearson korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 15 paket programı kullanılmış, anlamlılık
düzeyi p<0.05 olarak belirlenmiştir. Eşleştirilmiş t testi grup içi ön test, son test karşılaştırması sonucunda, vücut
ağırlığı, sol uyluk çevresi, sağ uyluk çevresi ve HE değerlerinde istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklar bulundu
(p<0.05). Pearson korelasyon testi sonuçlarına göre sol ve sağ uyluk çevresi son test değerleri arasında pozitif
anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur (r= 0.984 ; p<0.00). Sol ve sağ uyluk çevresi ile HE son test değerleri arasında
anlamlı ilişki bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Araştırma sonucunda, 8 hafta süreyle haftada 3 gün yapılan Pilates
reformer egzersizlerinin, 25-40 yaş arasındaki sağlıklı sedanter kadınlarda uyluk çevresi ve vücut ağırlığı
değerlerinde azalmaya, uyluk arka grup kasları-hamstring esnekliğinde artışa neden olarak faydalı olduğu tespit
edilmiştir (p<0.05).
This research has been made to analyse the effects of the exercises, done with reformer Pilates, on the measurement of thigh circumference and hamstring flexibility (HF), and relationship between them. 15 healthy sedanter women, aged between 25-40 voluntarily have attended this hereby program, scheduled as for 8 weeks and 3 times a week. Before and after the program, measurements of thigh circumference have been taped and back of thigh whereas the HF measurements have been taken into account via standard sit and reach test. For statistical evaluation, descriptive statistics, for pre-test and post-test difference, paired “t” test has been made. Pearson correlation test has been used for the relationship between thigh circumference and “HF” data, obtained in the last test. In the analysis of data, SPSS 15 package program has been used and its significance level has been determined as (p<0.05). As a result of the comparison of paired “t” test for both in-group and out-group pre-test and post-test, significant differences have been found in bodyweight, in left thigh circumference, in right thigh circumference and in the “HF” values (p<0.05) in terms of statistics. According to the results of Pearson correlation test, positive, significant relationship has been found between the values of left and right thigh circumference’s post-test (r= 0.984 ; p= 0.00). No significant relationship has been found between left and right thigh circumference and HF test values (p>0.05). In the research result, it has been made firm that reformer Pilates exercises, done for 8 weeks long and 3 times in a week, is beneficial, owing to the fact that it causes an increase on HF and a decrease on thigh circumference and bodyweight values on healthy sedanter women, aged between 25-40 (p<0.05).
