The Word "kalp" (heart in English) is an Arabic consept which is derived from k-l-b roots and based on the rhemes "alternation and transformation" and "core, intrinsic and absolute". The consept refers not only to an organ which is responsible for bloodstream, but also to a spritual being. While heart had been the center of emotions in pre-Islamic age of ignorance, with Islam getting widespread, it became the place where divine inspiration was revealed. Hence, the heart has become the core of faith and denial. In the first part of the research, states of heart in the context of faith and denial in Qur'an has been studied in detail. Also, heart and other related words have been defined and analysed. In the second part, verses about states of heart in Qur'an have been identified. In the light of these verses, how states of heart are in faithful, factious, heretic and polytheistic identities has been examined. The effect of people's actions to their heart, and the impact of heart on their actions has been evaluated in terms of faith. Key Words: Heart, Faith, Denial, Faction, İnfidelity, Polytheism
