Özet

One of the most fundamental features of human beings is that he has wisdom. With this ability, coming into prominence among the other creatures, people have achieved the honor of having the revelation of the God. In this article, it is intended to display the relationships between reason-faith, primarily within the context of the tradition of Islamic thought and the philosophy of religion. Then, it is emphasized that having a healthy balance between reason and faith is important in terms of self-completion and inner peace. As a consequence, the thoughts of Haci Bektash Veli on reason-faith requires us to reconsider them with the context of Islamic thought and the discipline of the philosophy of religion. Because, when we look at his thesis with an analytical perspective "For wise, faith is built on reason", which is made about the relationship between reason and faith, it is certain that it will have prominent contributions to understanding not only the concepts of faith, reason but also to the concept of wise. According to the Haci Bektash, neither heart conflicts with reason nor there is a disagrement between what people believe and reason. He was able to make a specific harmony between faith and reason. Thanks to this harmony, there will be self-comfortable believers and gradually the whole society will be self-comfortable within itself. Finally the originality and the distinction of Haci Bektash Veli's thoughts on the relationships between reason-faith is emphasized and there are some comparisons. For example, his specific synthesis about the matter will bring about new discussion topics and areas within the religious epistemology field.
