Extraction of lithium from boron ore wastes and precipitation as lithium carbonate

dc.description.abstractThis study aims to extract lithium from boron ore waste and obtain it by precipitation in carbonate form. Therefore, three different heat treatments and water leaching were applied after each heat treatment. The lithium-rich solution was preferred as a stock solution. The lithium concentration efficiency in this stock solution was determined to be 97.16%. Solutions prepared at specific sodium ion concentrations were dropped into this solution. Thus, lithium carbonate was obtained. The obtained lithium carbonate can be a valuable resource for meeting the increasing demand for lithium in various industries. These findings are estimated to contribute to the sustainable management of lithium resources and may be promising for future research in lithium recovery and use. Cette & eacute;tude vise & agrave; extraire le lithium & agrave; partir des d & eacute;chets de minerai de bore et & agrave; l'obtenir par pr & eacute;cipitation sous forme de carbonate. Par cons & eacute;quent, on a appliqu & eacute; trois traitements thermiques diff & eacute;rents et une lixiviation aqueuse apr & egrave;s chaque traitement thermique. On a pr & eacute;f & eacute;r & eacute; la solution riche en lithium comme solution m & egrave;re. On a d & eacute;termin & eacute; que l'efficacit & eacute; de concentration du lithium dans cette solution m & egrave;re & eacute;tait de 97.16%. On a vers & eacute; dans cette solution des solutions pr & eacute;par & eacute;es & agrave; des concentrations sp & eacute;cifiques d'ions sodium. Ainsi, on a obtenu du carbonate de lithium. Le carbonate de lithium obtenu peut constituer une ressource valable pour satisfaire & agrave; la demande croissante en lithium dans diverses industries. On estime que ces r & eacute;sultats contribuent & agrave; la gestion durable des ressources en lithium et pourraient & ecirc;tre prometteurs pour les recherches futures sur la r & eacute;cup & eacute;ration et l'utilisation du lithium.
