dc.description.abstractAmaç: 1895 yılında bulunan x ışınları günümüzde pek çok alanda kullanılmaktadır. Hastanelerde tanısal amaçlı kullanılan IR (iyonlaştırıcı radyasyon) kaynakları, teşhis noktasında kolaylık sağlarken bu kaynakları kullanan sağlık personelinde çeşitli mesleki maruziyet hastalıklarına neden olmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmalarda hematopoetik sistemin IR'ye duyarlı sistemlerin başında yer aldığı görülmüştür. Çalışmanın amacı IR'nin radyasyon görevlilerinin hematolojik parametreleri üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmaktır. Materyal ve Metod: İnönü Üniversitesi Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi Radyoloji biriminde 10 yıl ve üzeri süreyle görev yapan, kronik bir hastalığı bulunmayan radyoloji teknikerleri ile radyoloji biriminde görev yapmamış, aynı sayıda sağlıklı bireyin tam kan sayımı (CBC) sonuçları retrospektif olarak istatistiksel metodlarla karşılaştırılmıştır. Tam kan sayımı işlemi Sysmex marka XN 1000 model analizör ile yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Yaptığımız çalışma sonucunda, yaş ve cinsiyet değerleri arasında anlamlı farklılık görülmemiştir. HCT ortalama değeri çalışma grubunda 45.362±3.126 olarak bulunurken kontrol grubunda 43.346±4.289 olarak bulunmuştur. Independent samples testine göre HCT ortalama değerleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık vardır. (p:0.036). Sonuç: IR, hematopoetik sistemi doğrudan etkileyerek hematolojik parametrelerde değişikliklere neden olmaktadır. Bu nedenle radyasyon görevlilerine; güvenli çalışma koşullarının sağlanması, rutin sağlık taramalarının yapılması ve takip edilmesi ile bir plan dahilinde radyasyonun etkileri ve korunma yöntemleriyle ilgili eğitimlerin verilmesi önem taşımaktadır. dc.description.abstractAim: Found in 1895, x-rays are used in many fields today. While IR (ionizing radiation) sources used for diagnostic purposes in hospitals provide convenience in diagnosis, they cause various occupational exposure diseases in healthcare personnel using these sources. Studies have shown that the hematopoietic system is one of the most sensitive systems to IR. The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of IR on hematologic parameters of radiation workers. Material and Method: Complete blood count (CBC) results of radiology technicians who worked in Inönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center Radiology unit for 10 years or more and who did not have a chronic disease and the same number of healthy individuals who did not work in the radiology unit were retrospectively compared by statistical methods. Complete blood count was performed with Sysmex brand XN 1000 model analyzer. Results: As a result of our study, no significant difference was observed between age and gender values. The mean value of HCT was 45.362±3.126 in the study group and 43.346±4.289 in the control group. According to the independent samples test, there is a statistically significant difference between the mean values of HCT (p:0.036). Conclusion: IR directly affects the hematopoietic system and causes changes in hematological parameters. For this reason, it is important to provide safe working conditions, routine health screenings and follow-up, and training on the effects of radiation and protection methods within a plan for radiation workers.
